Young Vietnamese players have the opportunity to train and play friendly matches in Brazil

Within the framework of the State visit to Vietnam, on the morning of March 28, at the Presidential Palace, President Luong Cuong and President of the Federative Republic of Brazil Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva witnessed the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on football cooperation between President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Tran Quoc Tuan and Ambassador Marco Farani - representative of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).

The MoU between VFF and CBF is effective for three years after its commencement and will be automatically extended for another two years. In the content of the MoU, the two sides commit to strengthening cooperation in many fields to promote the development of Vietnamese and Brazilian football.

Vietnam Football Federation signs 3-year memorandum of understanding with Brazilian Football Confederation

Specifically, the two federations will coordinate to organize regional and international football meetings and conferences; exchange experts, coaches, and teams at all levels; and share experiences in managing and organizing professional tournaments.

In addition, the Memorandum of Understanding also mentions supporting the national teams of the two countries in training and friendly matches, as well as creating opportunities for youth teams (from U21 and below) to participate in international tournaments.

The cooperation programs also include knowledge exchange activities in sports medicine, rehabilitation and football facilities management. The signing of this agreement is an important step forward in the sports cooperation between Vietnam and Brazil in general, and Vietnamese and Brazilian football in particular, promising to open up many development opportunities for the football of the two countries in the coming time.

Previously, on December 18, 2024, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan welcomed the Brazilian Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr. Marco Farani, at the VFF headquarters. At the meeting, Ambassador Marco Farani affirmed that he would be a bridge to promote cooperation between the two countries' football, ready to support if the Vietnamese team comes to Brazil to train and compete.

The VFF President and the Brazilian Ambassador to Vietnam also agreed on cooperation plans between Vietnamese and Brazilian football, opening up opportunities for Vietnamese teams from youth level to the men's and women's national teams to compete and learn from the world's leading football development.
