Located on Monaco Hill (Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province), Laluna Coffee is likened to a "miniature dreamy Da Lat", a familiar check-in spot for many young people.
Recently, netizens shared images of the devastated Laluna Coffee shop after storm number 3, making many people feel heartbroken and regretful.
The sturdy roof was completely blown away (Photo taken after storm No. 3 had just passed).
According to the pictures, the beautiful, poetic scenery of the restaurant is no longer there. Instead, there are ruins and devastation: the sturdy roof collapsed, the colorful hydrangea carpet disappeared, the lush green grass was desolate, the shady pine trees were broken, leaving bare stumps.
The winding wooden road was torn apart by the storm. It was hard to recognize that not long ago, this was a famous check-in spot in Quang Ninh.
Ms. Hoang Thuy (living in Hanoi) visited Laluna when she and her company traveled together a year ago. Looking at the images of the restaurant heavily damaged by the storm, Ms. Thuy could not help but feel regretful.
Beautiful photo angles among thousands of hydrangeas or wooden bridges where you can sit and admire the scenery are almost completely deformed.
"The cafe has a lot of outdoor space so it is directly affected by storms. I remember when I came here, I could take beautiful photos from every corner. But now, I can't even recognize it," said Ms. Thuy.
Having just arrived in Ha Long for a vacation, Ms. Trang (living in Hanoi) took the time to visit this coffee shop because she saw many beautiful photos from her friends. After getting out of the car, looking through the gate, she saw a scene plowed by the storm. The scene was still littered with many belongings.
After hearing the staff's announcement that the cafe was closed and not welcoming guests, Ms. Trang and her family had to return to the hotel. "The natural disaster was too severe... I just hope the cafe will recover and retain its former beauty. The rows of colorful hydrangeas are now gone, all the effort put into taking care of them," Ms. Trang said with a sigh.
Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, Ms. Mai Chi (Manager of Laluna Coffee) said that when looking at the weather forecast, she anticipated warnings about the strength of Typhoon Yagi. However, the consequences of the storm were too severe, beyond imagination.
"According to our statistics, the estimated damage to the restaurant is about 15 billion VND. The pine forest, flower garden, roof, equipment, tables and chairs, bar counter... are all damaged. We are urgently repairing and overcoming the consequences. The restaurant will be back in operation within the next month. We will restore the landscape to be more beautiful to attract customers from near and far," Ms. Mai Chi shared.
With a total area of 1.2 hectares, serving 800-1,000 guests at the same time, the restaurant is designed in a poetic style with green pine forests, beautiful hydrangea carpets located next to a winding wooden road.
The restaurant is located in a beautiful location, with both city and bay views... Therefore, this place attracts many tourists and locals to take pictures and sightsee.
