At the meeting, the People's Council of Phu Ninh district considered and approved the Resolution on the tasks and estimates for the preparation of the General Plan for the expanded Phu Thinh town (due to the implementation of the policy of merging the administrative units of Phu Thinh town and Tam Vinh commune), Phu Ninh district for the period up to 2030 and 2045; supplementing the public investment plan for the period 2021 - 2025 and the public investment plan for 2024.
With the approved resolution, the District People's Council agreed to supplement the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021 - 2025 and supplement the public investment plan for 2024 for the Master Plan of Phu Thinh expanded town, Phu Ninh district for the period to 2030 and 2045 with a total capital of more than 1.7 billion VND (cost of planning and marking planning) from the state budget.
In the appraisal report, the Economic - Social Committee of Phu Ninh District People's Council requested the District People's Committee to focus on implementing the tasks and the Master Plan for Phu Thinh town expansion to 2030 and 2045 to ensure the time as prescribed in Decision No. 2058, dated September 4, 2024 of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee.
The District People's Committee continues to work with relevant departments of the province to ensure funding sources and complete public investment procedures to soon implement the "General planning of Phu Thinh town expansion to 2030 and 2045".
Regarding the necessity of organizing the master plan for the expanded Phu Thinh town, the People's Committee of Phu Ninh district said that after the merger, Phu Thinh town was recognized by the People's Committee of Quang Nam province as meeting the criteria of a type V urban area.
The organization of the master plan is the legal basis for land management, the establishment of zoning maps, detailed plans for the implementation of the Urban Development Program and investment projects. Developing Phu Thinh town into the administrative - political, cultural - social center of the district, ensuring the role of connection with promoting the socio-economic development of the district.
The planning scale has a total natural area of about 20.32km2 , including Phu Thinh town 6.48km2 and Tam Vinh commune 13.84km2 . Regarding population, the current population in 2023: about 10,974 people (of which, Phu Thinh town is about 5,348 people; Tam Vinh commune is about 5,626 people); forecast by 2030 about 15,000 people, by 2045: about 25,000 people are specifically identified in the planning project process...
