According to Dan Viet reporter's investigation, on September 27, Mu Cang Chai district (Yen Bai province) established an inspection team to verify the incident according to the content of the report that VTV posted.

According to the report of the People's Committee of Mu Cang Chai district, the inspection team met directly with the leaders of Mo De commune; leaders and teachers of Mo De Kindergarten; Party Secretary of Mang Mu village and some parents of students of Mang Mu village to verify and grasp the information.

Specifically, the parent of student Ho A De (the parent in the report) was born in 1995, is the Deputy Head of the Security and Order Team of the village with a support budget of 1,300,000 VND/month. In addition, Ho A De's family is involved in agriculture, farming, and Ho A De himself also works part-time to support his family.

Mr. Ho A De said that he has been informed and understood the policies of the Party, the State and all levels for his children; the policies include receiving funding for lunch at the end of the school term; the family always cares about their children's studies and sends them to school regularly.

Currently, the school cooks lunch for the children 2 meals/week, so the family does not prepare rice for the children on those 2 days; on other days, the family gives the children lunch boxes including rice, instant noodles, eggs, meat, fish, etc. Sometimes, in addition to food, the family brings the children a few slices of ginger because this is both a spice and a daily dish of the Mong people for many generations, helping to warm the body and is good for the children's health.

According to Mr. De: "On the morning of September 23, 2024, when I was preparing rice and eggs to put in a lunch box for my child to take to school, the reporters came to my house and asked me if I had ginger at home to bring to my child, so I went to get ginger and sliced it to bring to my child. At first, I only sliced a few slices, but they told me to slice more, so I sliced more. In order to get my child to class on time, I was in such a hurry that I didn't have time to make more eggs for my child to bring to school. At the same time, through talking, sharing, and partly following the reporter's opinion, I said that about bringing lunch boxes to my child's school."

Meanwhile, teacher Nguyen Thi Yen (the teacher in the report) reported: The reporter talked, discussed and confided in her. The teacher also said that the student policies were fully and promptly implemented; all levels paid attention to investing in building facilities and teaching and learning equipment, so the students' learning conditions were better.

Compared to before, now parents are much more concerned about their children's learning and eating conditions, lunch boxes now have meat, eggs, fish, etc. After talking and confiding for more than an hour with the reporter and talking about the difficulties and hardships when students brought lunch boxes with rice, vegetables and ginger slices to school in the past, the teacher could not hold back her emotions and cried like that.

Checking the lunch boxes of the children at Mang Mu village on September 27, 2024, the inspection team found that they all contained pork, chicken eggs, dried fish, instant noodles, etc. None of the children's lunch boxes only had rice with ginger.

"Through verification and through the practice of educational institutions, it shows that the content reflected by VTV1's 24h Movement about the children's lunch at Mang Mu school and Mo De Kindergarten is not comprehensive about the reality at the school facilities" - the report of Mu Cang Chai District People's Committee clearly stated.
