Among 18 secondary industries, Yen Bai province has 8/18 industries with a cumulative production index by the end of December 2024 increasing compared to the same period, such as: Wood processing and production of products from wood, bamboo and rattan increased by 5.96%; production of chemicals and chemical products increased by 7.81%; production of rubber and plastic products increased by 51.37%; production of products from other non-metallic minerals increased by 8.22%; production of beds, wardrobes, tables and chairs increased by 38.5%; production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning increased by 23.07%...

However, some industrial sectors of Yen Bai province had a production index decrease compared to the same period. Specifically, metal ore mining had the largest decrease of up to 40.48%. Next was metal production down 21.11%, food processing down 17.62%, medicine, chemical and pharmaceutical production down 16.97%, other mining down 13.52%...

Some major industrial products have a cumulative production index up to the end of December 2024 that increased compared to the same period, such as: Complete sets, uniforms, jackets increased by 1.27 times; sawn or split wood increased by 1.83 times; wood shavings, wood chips increased by 67.46%; plywood increased by 25.94%; wooden kitchen cabinets increased by 62.79%; electricity production increased by 27.01%...

On the contrary, some products decreased sharply compared to the same period: Iron ore and unsintered iron ore decreased by 39.99%; lead ore and lead ore decreased by 71.07%; slate decreased by 18.28%; tapioca starch decreased by 20.74%; tea decreased by 19.68%; underwear decreased by 48.79%; various types of clothing decreased by 20.07%; plywood decreased by 57.06%...

According to the planning of Yen Bai province for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, Yen Bai province plans to plan 5 more multi-industry industrial parks by 2030 including: Tran Yen, Thinh Hung Y Can, Dong An, and Luc Yen with a total area of ​​1,364.0 hectares.
