Outstanding Vietnamese farmer in Binh Phuoc is in the top 20 nominees for Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces 2023

Accordingly, in the field of Production Labor, Mr. Dang Duong Minh Hoang, born in 1988, member of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union for the 2023 - 2028 term, Head of the National Luong Dinh Cua Network, Director of Thien Nong Farm Binh Phuoc, Director of Binh Phuoc Digital Agricultural Service Cooperative has entered the top 20 nominees for Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces 2023.

It is known that Dang Duong Minh Hoang is an Outstanding Vietnamese Farmer in 2022. In an interview with Dan Viet Electronic Newspaper, Dang Duong Minh Hoang said that he studied, lived and worked in France as an engineer for more than 10 years. After that, Hoang decided to return to his hometown to follow his father in farming.

Currently, Dang Duong Minh Hoang's Thien Nong farm has a total of 50 hectares, of which 30 hectares are rubber, 8 hectares are pepper and 12 hectares are avocado - Ong Hoang avocado brand.

Hoang said that all the plants in his garden can be monitored remotely, thanks to the application of IoT (Internet of things) technology to plants.

"As the Director of Binh Phuoc Digital Agricultural Services Cooperative and owner of Thien Nong Farm, I have recently consulted and transferred technology to dozens of businesses. From there, I have expanded simple but effective technical solutions, aiming to form satellite farms, creating jobs for local ethnic minorities," Hoang shared with Dan Viet.

Currently, Mr. Hoang is implementing a project to digitize each tree - each tree is a website. With this model, when consumers buy avocados, or any other product from the garden, they will be able to access all information about that product.

According to Dang Duong Minh Hoang, through the app, buyers can know the process of producing an avocado. Know what fertilizer the avocado has been fertilized with, how it is watered, and when it is harvested. Buyers can track the entire development process of the avocado from when it is still a flower on the tree, until it is in the hands of consumers.

To date, Hoang’s farm is one of the farms that has successfully applied IoT (Internet of things) to agriculture. His model has become a typical high-tech agricultural model in Binh Phuoc province.

At the 13th National Congress of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, term 2023 - 2028, Dang Duong Minh Hoang was elected to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, term VIII.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony of 20 nominees for Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces 2023, Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, said that the Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces Award is a noble award of the Central Youth Union to honor typical young people under 35 years old with outstanding achievements, creating a wide spread in the community.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet emphasized that the first meeting of the Award Council seriously selected 20 truly outstanding examples in various fields, even including examples in unprecedented fields to enter the voting round.

“The achievements of the 20 faces are very typical, having influence at the regional and global levels. In addition to the professional field, we also consider many aspects such as the level of influence, responsibility to the community, influence on youth and the whole society,” said Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet.

According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet, the Central Youth Union always pays attention to the work of young talents to create high-quality human resources for the country. Immediately after the 12th National Youth Union Congress, the Central Youth Union consulted with the Prime Minister on the strategic project for Vietnamese Youth Development in the period 2021 - 2030. And the Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces Award is one of the fundamental solutions to implement the project.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet said that 2024 is a year with many major national holidays such as the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory and a year of accelerating the implementation of the Resolution of the 12th National Youth Union Congress, organizing the Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union at all levels...
