This is the first meaningful activity to implement Resolution 14 of the Vietnam Health Trade Union, with the meaning that only healthy health workers can take good care of people's health. The coordination plan not only raises awareness of proper nutrition, safe and quality meals for union members, but also hopes that each union member will become the best propagandist to promote people to have a proper diet to be younger, healthier and more beautiful; prevent non-communicable diseases, restore function and safety; promote people to have knowledge of proper nutrition to improve health, reduce the burden on the health sector.

Representatives of the Vietnam Health Trade Union and the Institute of Nutrition signed a cooperation agreement on nutrition care for union members and workers in the health sector for the period 2023-2028.

Accordingly, the coordination plan of the two agencies will be implemented through specific activities such as: Assessing the current nutritional status; propaganda, training, developing nutritional care and counseling documents; building a pilot model to improve nutrition, scientific research, annual reward activities... In the immediate future, in 2023, the two agencies will coordinate to develop a Nutrition Handbook to deploy to grassroots Trade Unions, launch and implement an online contest on nutritional knowledge in the form of dramatization to help raise awareness of union members and workers in the health sector about nutritional knowledge.

Sharing at the signing ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thanh Duong, Director of the Institute of Nutrition, highly appreciated the initiative and the coordination between the Institute of Nutrition and the Vietnam Medical Trade Union. He hoped that the two agencies would work together towards the goal of effectively implementing coordination activities between the two sides, proposing many timely support policies to improve the health of doctors and medical workers, and health workers; sharing and promptly resolving difficulties and obstacles of the facilities...

The signing of a new agreement to start a new term is a hope for health sector members to receive practical care and a healthy working environment and playground to improve their health, and to unite to carry out the political task of the health sector to care for, protect and improve people's health.
