Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai said that in 2023, facing many difficulties and challenges, however, with the determination and great efforts of the entire political system, our country has achieved many important achievements, recognized and highly appreciated by the people and international friends.
Specifically, GDP growth reached 5.05%, the highest in the region and the world, a bright spot in the not-so-bright picture of the world economy. Major balances of the economy were ensured, budget revenue exceeded the estimate by 8.12%, national security and defense were maintained, foreign affairs and international integration achieved many outstanding results.
Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai acknowledged that the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Cao Bang province have been creative, made efforts and achieved important results in socio-economic development, maintaining national defense and security, protecting territorial sovereignty and national borders.
Among the general achievements of the entire political system, there is a contribution from Cao Bang. The Deputy Prime Minister acknowledged that the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Cao Bang province have been creative, made great efforts and achieved important results in socio-economic development, maintaining national defense and security, protecting territorial sovereignty and national borders. Many socio-economic targets of the province have been achieved and exceeded the plan, in which import and export increased by over 15%.
Affirming that the Party and State are very interested in the preparation for the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin, the Secretariat has issued Directive No. 26-CT/TW, the Prime Minister has issued Directive No. 30/CT-TTg directing solutions to organize a joyful, healthy, safe, economical and effective Tet, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai highly appreciated the sectors and levels in Cao Bang province for having many forms of attention and care for the material and spiritual life of workers, policy families, people with meritorious services and poor households.

Presenting 200 gifts to workers and laborers in the province, the Deputy Prime Minister shared that in the country's difficult circumstances, the gifts, though small, carry warm sentiments, contributing to encouraging the workers and laborers to have a joyful and healthy Tet holiday.
The Deputy Prime Minister hopes that business leaders will pay more attention to the lives and labor situation of their businesses in particular and the province in general, improve their skills, build harmonious, progressive, and civilized labor relations. Workers should improve their labor productivity and be diligent, because businesses are like their own homes. When businesses are stable and develop sustainably, workers will have jobs and a stable life.

On the provincial side, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai suggested paying more attention to social security work, especially labor and employment policies to improve the situation, create conditions and mechanisms for trade unions to operate effectively, and be a support and protect the legitimate rights and interests of workers.
"The Party and the State always care about workers. The Party's policies and ultimate goal are to care for the material and spiritual lives of the people, including workers. I hope that workers will continue to trust in the leadership of the Party, the laws of the State, and work with authorities at all levels to build the country to become more and more prosperous," the Deputy Prime Minister said.

Soc Ha Commune is a remote area with very difficult conditions. Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai shared with the soldiers of Soc Giang Border Guard Station about the difficulties and hardships, having to be away from their families, stationed in remote and isolated places, and having heavy tasks in poor conditions.
Over the past years, officers and soldiers of Soc Giang Border Guard Station have thoroughly grasped and implemented the directives, resolutions and plans of superiors, synchronously deployed border work measures, coordinated with forces, Party committees, authorities and people of localities to contribute to maintaining territorial sovereignty and national border security; participated in building and consolidating the grassroots political system, developing the socio-economy, and reducing poverty.

Emphasizing that in 2024, the world and regional situation will continue to be complicated, affecting the management and protection of territorial sovereignty and socio-economic development of the country, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai noted that the Cao Bang Border Guard in general and the Soc Giang Border Guard Station in particular need to grasp the situation, improve their capacity to advise and organize border work, promptly detect and combat plots and tricks to disrupt order and affect security and order in the area.
At the same time, Soc Giang Border Guard Station also needs to coordinate well with agencies and functions of Guangxi Province, China to share information and experience in solving issues related to borders and border gates, consolidating and enhancing the good friendship and solidarity between the Party committees, authorities, armed forces and people on both sides of the border.

Preparing to celebrate the traditional Tet holiday, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai requested the leaders and commanders of Soc Giang Border Guard Station to strictly implement the directions of the Party and Government to enhance care for the material and spiritual life of officers and soldiers; carry out programs and activities to care for Tet for people in border areas; coordinate with local Party committees and authorities to prepare facilities, organize for soldiers and people to enjoy Spring and celebrate Tet happily, warmly, safely and economically; take care of policy beneficiaries, poor households, and ethnic minorities in the area.
On behalf of the Party and State delegation, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai presented 200 gifts to policy families, meritorious people, and poor households in Cao Bang province and Tet gifts to officers and soldiers of Soc Giang Border Guard Station.

Reporting to the working delegation, Lieutenant Colonel Pham Hong Thai, Head of Soc Giang Border Guard Station, said that Soc Giang Border Guard Station manages and protects a 20.203km long border section, including 55 border markers. The station manages the two border communes of Soc Ha and Truong Ha in Ha Quang district.

Over the years, the border situation under the management of the Station has always been stable, territorial sovereignty, border markers have been protected and maintained. The authorities and armed forces on both sides of the Vietnam - China border have a good relationship, regularly exchange and hold talks, maintain and strictly implement the Agreement on Border Management Regulations, cooperate in economic, cultural and social development, contributing to building a peaceful, trustworthy, stable and developing border. The political security situation and social order and safety in the border area have always been maintained.
