Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan hopes that the Danish Royal Family and Government will continue to support Vietnam in realizing the commitments of the JETP Declaration, COP 26 and the United Nations sustainable development goals.

On the morning of November 22 (local time), in the capital Copenhagen, within the framework of an official visit to the Kingdom of Denmark, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan had a meeting with Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark.

At the meeting, Crown Prince Frederik expressed his delight at welcoming Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation on an official visit to the Kingdom of Denmark.

Crown Prince Frederik expressed his impression of his visit to Vietnam in 2022 and thanked Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan for the warm and thoughtful reception she gave Crown Prince Frederik and Princess Mary during their visit. The Crown Prince believes that the Vice President's visit will contribute to consolidating and strengthening the comprehensive partnership that is developing well between the two countries.

The Crown Prince said that in the coming time, the two sides need to continue to cooperate, support each other, and implement the agreements reached within the framework of the Green Strategic Partnership recently approved by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen (November 1, 2023).

Meeting Crown Prince Frederik on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam-Denmark Comprehensive Partnership, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan expressed her gratitude for the good sentiments and support that the Royal Family, Government and people of Denmark have given to Vietnam in the past struggle for independence and unification and in the current socio-economic development.

Crown Prince Frederik's visit in 2022 vividly demonstrates the traditional friendship and political trust of the Vietnam-Denmark Comprehensive Partnership.

Agreeing with the Crown Prince, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan affirmed that in the coming time, the two countries need to continue promoting the implementation of the agreements reached, taking advantage of opportunities from the Green Strategic Partnership framework to promote cooperation, especially in areas of strength and need of both sides.

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan hopes that the Danish Royal Family and Government will continue to support Vietnam in realizing the commitments of the JETP Declaration, COP 26 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals; and asked the Crown Prince to continue to pay attention to and support Danish organizations such as the Green National Fund to support Vietnam's green transition process as well as encourage Danish enterprises to invest and do business in Vietnam in the fields of renewable energy and green growth.

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan expressed her gratitude to the Royal Family and the Danish Government for creating favorable conditions for more than 16,000 Vietnamese people to integrate into the host society, making positive contributions to bilateral relations.

For his part, Crown Prince Frederik expressed his impression of Vietnam's strong development in recent years and supported Danish businesses in implementing business projects in the Mekong Delta and asked them to expand their operations to other potential areas.

The Crown Prince also affirmed that the Royal Family and the Danish Government will continue to support the integration of the Vietnamese community, hoping that the community will maintain its independent cultural identity, promote its fine traditions, and contribute to the development of Denmark as well as the relationship between the two countries.

At the meeting, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and Crown Prince Frederik agreed that the two sides should continue to regularly exchange culture, education and people-to-people exchanges, contributing to further strengthening the affection and attachment between the two countries, especially for the younger generation, thereby deepening and elevating the bilateral relationship to a higher level in the coming time.
