In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duc Dung and delegates observed a minute of silence, offered flowers and incense to commemorate the heroic sacrifice of soldiers of Battalion 76 Hai Da in the struggle for national liberation.

The 76th Hai Da Battalion was established on March 17, 1973 in Dong Son Commune, Thuy Nguyen District, Hai Phong City, to fight in the South. The name "Hai Da" represents the friendship between the two localities of Hai Phong and Quang Nam - Da Nang (Quang Da).

During the resistance war against the US, soldiers of Battalion 76 Hai Da fought side by side with the army and people of Dien Phong and Go Noi (Dien Ban town) to achieve many resounding victories, contributing to the great victory in the spring of 1975, unifying the country.

In order to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs, in 2016, the Hai Da Battalion 76 Temple was built and inaugurated in Dien Phong commune with a total area of ^{​​1,250m2} and a cost of nearly 3 billion VND.

The project includes many important items such as the Hai Da soldier statue "Splitting Truong Son to save the country", 3 steles and a temple to honor 585 martyrs of Dien Phong commune, 218 martyrs of Hai Phong city who died at the Quang Da front, and many other items.

The temple alone records the names of 96 martyrs of Battalion 76 Hai Da - sons of Hai Phong port who joined the army in the South, fought and died on Go Noi land during the period 1973 - 1974.
