Energizing the project "Replacing T1 machine at 110kV Cho Moi station"

Transformer T1 has been upgraded from 40MVA to 63MVA.

The project is to replace the T1 transformer with a capacity of 40MVA to 63MVA, as well as to replace and add some accessories and equipment suitable for the new voltage level and capacity. The project has a total investment of nearly 24 billion VND from commercial loans and basic depreciation capital of EVNSPC.

The project's objective is to meet the load demand of Cho Moi district while providing backup for connecting the medium voltage grid to 110kV transformer stations in the area; ensuring continuous and stable grid operation, improving reliability; and promoting socio-economic development in Cho Moi district.

The project is managed by the Southern Power Grid Project Management Board (a unit under EVNSPC). An Giang Power Company is the operating management unit. Southern Power Consulting Company is the design consultant. Innovation Technology Development Joint Stock Company is the construction and installation contractor.

The project progress has been ensured and completed ahead of schedule. This is a continuous effort of EVNSPC in accelerating the progress of key projects. The project implementation process also has the contribution and support from many sides and units such as: Southern Power System Control Center (SSO), groups and individuals of An Giang Power Company, Southern Power Consulting Company, Southern Power Testing Company and construction contractors.

In particular, the project "Replacing transformer T1 of Cho Moi 110kV station" also received enthusiastic support from local authorities, departments, branches and people in the area, helping the project to be completed and put into operation and exploitation on schedule. In the afternoon of the same day, the energization procedure was completed, and transformer T1 operated safely.
