Binh Dinh Province Pickleball Club Tournament 2025: Impressive, high professional quality

In the first tournament organized by the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with the Tennis and Pickleball Federation, there were nearly 300 athletes from 40 clubs competing in 250 matches with diverse competition content, suitable for many age groups.

The athletes competed in a knockout format, divided into 4 groups: Group 1 included athletes aged 40 and under, competing in men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles; Group 2, athletes aged 41 and over, also competing in 3 similar events; Group 3 competed in men's doubles, mixed doubles for leaders and guests of the Organizing Committee; Group 4 included men's and women's singles regardless of age. With diverse competition content, the tournament brought excitement to athletes and spectators.

Athlete Vo Ho Ngoc Quy (Khang Tram Club), competing in the men's doubles of leader and guest, shared: "This is the first time I have participated in a pickleball tournament with such a large number of athletes. At first, I was a bit worried because I did not have much experience competing, but when I entered the field, I felt the noble sportsmanship and solidarity of the tournament. Therefore, my teammates and I competed with a relaxed mindset, both having fun and learning."

After winning the women's singles championship regardless of age, Ms. Dao Thi Hong Nu (BFF Club) could not hide her excitement: "I am very happy to compete with quality opponents at the tournament. As a pickleball lover and having participated in grassroots tournaments for nearly a year, I hope that through this tournament, I will have more opportunities to connect with local pickleball players. The refereeing of the tournament is very good, professional and objective."

In the men's doubles event (40 years old and under), athlete Hoang Nam (Milamo Club) and his teammates won the championship. He happily shared: "This year's tournament had fierce competition, the matches were very exciting. My teammates and I had to try our best to win."

In addition to the exciting matches, this tournament also recorded enthusiastic cheers from the audience. The stadiums were always in a lively atmosphere, especially in the finals. In particular, many athletes participating in a major tournament for the first time showed their fighting spirit, not afraid to confront stronger opponents.

Ms. Le Suong Suong (Quy Nhon City) expressed her impression when witnessing the athletes compete: “The tournament was organized very professionally, with careful preparation from the refereeing, match management to the field. I got to see many beautiful and thrilling moves in each match.”

With the success of the first tournament, the province is planning to make pickleball one of the grassroots sports with systematic investment. Currently, some clubs and agencies in the province have also started to include pickleball in their internal sports activities, creating conditions for many people to access this sport.

Mr. Bui Trung Hieu - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Head of the Organizing Committee, affirmed: "The Binh Dinh Province Pickleball Club Tournament 2025 was a success in its first edition, with many exciting and dramatic matches. In the coming time, in addition to promoting the movement to develop more strongly, the Sports industry will develop a systematic training plan so that athletes have a foundation for sustainable development, aiming for more professional tournaments in the future".
