During the resistance war against the US, National Highway 15A, associated with Truong Bon, was a particularly important strategic location, connecting the North-South traffic arteries. Truong Bon became the fire coordinate during the escalating bombings of the US imperialists in the North. Here, 1,240 officers and soldiers fought bravely and sacrificed heroically. Among them were 13 youth volunteers of the "Steel Squad" of Company 317, Team 65, Youth Volunteers General Team against the US to save the country, Nghe An province.
