On the afternoon of August 8, at Pham Thi Tran Theater (Ninh Binh city), the 12th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ninh Binh province, term 2024-2029, held its first working session with many important contents.
Attending the Congress were comrades: Mai Van Tuat, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Tran Song Tung, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Do Viet Anh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; Nguyen Hoang Ha, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee. Attending the Congress were 268 official delegates representing all walks of life and the great national unity bloc in the province.
With the theme "Solidarity-Democracy-Creativity-Development", at the first working session, the Congress consulted to elect the Presidium and the Congress Secretary; and approved the program, rules and regulations of the Congress.
The Congress also heard a summary report on the situation of delegates attending the 12th Provincial Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; a review report on the activities of the Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for the 2019-2024 term; a summary report on comments on amending and supplementing the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 9th tenure; and a summary of comments on the draft documents of the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the 12th Provincial Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
According to the report reviewing the activities of the Committee, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the 11th term, 2019-2024, presented by Comrade Le Van Kien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the 11th term: During the past term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province has always been united, unified, promoted collective intelligence, well implemented the action program; focused on innovating the content and methods of operation towards the grassroots and residential areas. Effectively implemented campaigns and patriotic emulation movements; strengthened supervision and social criticism; promptly grasped the thoughts and aspirations of all classes of people in the province , proposed to the Provincial Party Committee and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front timely solutions, promoting the people's mastery.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee is always united, unified, and operates on the principle of collective discussion, decision, and assignment of individual responsibilities. During its term, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee organized 141 conferences, including 120 regular conferences and 21 extraordinary conferences, to discuss and unanimously decide on important work contents.
In the first working session, the Congress focused on discussing and evaluating to clarify the performance results of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and its member organizations in all aspects of work for the 2019-2024 term; discussing the directions and tasks for the 2024-2029 term.
In particular, many presentations clearly stated and highlighted the role of the Fatherland Front at all levels in social supervision and criticism, mobilizing people and religious compatriots to actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, live a good life, follow their religion..., contributing to maintaining political security and social order and safety.
The Congress voted and agreed on the number of members of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, term XII, 2024-2029, including 85 members, ensuring the composition and combined structure.
In the spirit of solidarity, unity and democracy, the Congress conducted consultations to elect 80 members to join the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, term XII, 2024-2029 (5 members will be added and completed during the term to ensure the proposed quantity and structure).
Also at the Congress, 15 collectives and 25 individuals were commended by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for their outstanding achievements in building the great national unity bloc in the period 2019-2024.
Tomorrow morning (August 9), the 12th Provincial Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024-2029, will hold its second working session.
