DTO - On the morning of August 11, at the Provincial People's Committee hall, the Provincial People's Committee organized the Launching Ceremony of the Movement "Emulation to build a learning society, promote lifelong learning in the period of 2023 - 2030" in Dong Thap province in the form of direct and online connection to the bridge points of districts and cities in the province.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Thien Nghia affirmed that over the years, Dong Thap province has always paid attention to developing education and promoting learning and talent. The educational network has been expanded, 100% of communes, wards and towns have met the "Learning Community" standards; 86.54% of households have been recognized as learning households; the province has 2 cities certified by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization as members of the Global Network of Learning Cities; Dong Thap province's education quality ranks 3rd in the Mekong Delta region. To create a strong change in building a learning society and responding to the movement "The whole country competes to build a learning society, promote lifelong learning in the period of 2023 - 2030" launched by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, the whole province needs to join hands, unite with high determination, and take drastic actions so that every family and every person can study, contributing to building and developing the homeland of the Lotus to become more and more prosperous, improving the lives of the people.

| After 2 years of implementing the Project "Building a learning society in the period of 2021 - 2030" in Dong Thap province, the lifelong learning movement in families, clans, communities and units in the province has achieved many positive results. The whole province has more than 459,000 members of the Learning Promotion Association; in 2023, 34 units achieved the title of "Learning Unit" at the provincial level and 166 agencies and units were classified as "Learning Unit" at the district level. The district and grassroots Learning Promotion Associations mobilized more than 94 billion VND, awarded over 24,520 scholarships and 176,314 gifts to students. |
