As of August 11, South Korea had recorded 11,361 reports of damage to infrastructure nationwide due to Typhoon Khanun. The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Committee said that nationwide, 15,862 people had to be temporarily evacuated due to the typhoon. Currently, 676 roads are still blocked due to floods or landslides; 28 trains on 24 railway lines have been suspended.

In China, on August 10, the northern province of Hebei reported 29 deaths and 16 missing due to weeks of heavy rains caused by Typhoon Doksuri. Hebei authorities said that nearly 5% of the province's 74.2 million population was affected by the storm; more than 40,000 houses were destroyed and 155,500 were severely damaged; about 2 million people were evacuated due to the impact of flooding.
In Myanmar, the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement confirmed that five people have died in the current floods in the country. About 37,000 people across Myanmar have been displaced from their homes and the number could rise to 40,000. Authorities have stepped up supplies for families who have been evacuated to temporary shelters.
In Europe, Norway continues to face flooding as heavy rains cause rivers to rise, forcing local authorities to carry out additional evacuations to ensure safety. So far, more than 4,000 people have been safely evacuated from their homes in southern Norway. Major roads have been closed and train services suspended. Flooding is expected to continue for the coming days.
A heavy rainstorm swept through Canada's capital Ottawa, causing flooding on many streets and leaving tens of thousands of homes without power. Environment and Climate Change Canada said some areas of the capital could receive as much as 80mm to 100mm of rain. About 24,000 customers were without power at the peak of the storm.
Meanwhile, Turkish officials said a magnitude 5.3 earthquake struck southern Turkey on August 10, injuring 23 people and damaging several buildings. The epicenter was in the town of Yesilyurt in Malatya province; Adiyaman province was also affected. On the morning of August 11, a magnitude 6 earthquake also shook the Japanese island of Hokkaido.
