Launching the online contest “Pride of Vietnam”

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (1945 - 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission launched the online contest "Proud of Vietnam" nationwide. The contest will take place from March 2025 to August 2025, aiming to create a playground for learning about history, while arousing pride and a sense of responsibility of each citizen towards the country.

The “Pride of Vietnam” contest is not only a normal historical learning activity but also has profound educational significance, helping the people, especially the young generation, to better understand the significance and great historical value of the August Revolution, the resistance war against the US to save the country and the achievements that the country has achieved after 50 years of unification.

Through the online test format, participants can easily access the contest content on a digital platform, contributing to innovating the method of disseminating national history in the age of technology. The contest content focuses on the following topics: Important milestones in the history of the struggle for national independence, especially the August Revolution of 1945 and the great victory of Spring 1975. The leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh in the cause of national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland. The country's great achievements in the 50 years after reunification, especially in the process of innovation, integration and development. Heroic examples, typical historical stories that inspire pride and motivation to contribute to the younger generation.

In order for the contest to truly become a broad political activity, attracting the participation of many people from all walks of life, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department has issued a document directing units and localities to step up propaganda work. Specifically, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of the province, departments, branches, sectors and localities will coordinate to propagate the contest on mass media, electronic information portals, social networks, and at the same time mobilize cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, workers, soldiers of the armed forces, union members and association members to actively participate.

Binh Thuan Newspaper and Binh Thuan Radio and Television proactively posted information about the contest rules and content, ensuring that the majority of people could access and respond. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism directed and guided local news site and electronic information portal management units to post content about the contest, creating a strong ripple effect. The "Proud of Vietnam" contest not only helps participants expand their historical knowledge, but is also an opportunity for each individual to express their patriotism, national pride and responsibility for the cause of building and defending the Fatherland in the new period.

The Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee calls for active response from all levels, sectors and all people, contributing to spreading the spirit of patriotism, continuing the heroic tradition of the nation.
