Launching the 2025 Bac Giang Province Reading Culture Ambassador Contest

On the morning of March 21, 2025, at Bac Giang Provincial Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Department of Education and Training launched the Bac Giang Provincial Reading Culture Ambassador Contest 2025.

Attending the event were representatives of leaders of some departments and branches; representatives of leaders of colleges, Department of Education and Training; Department of Culture, Science and Information; Centers of Culture, Information and Sports of districts, towns and cities; teachers and students of secondary and high schools in Bac Giang city.

The Bac Giang Provincial Reading Culture Ambassador Contest 2025 is an activity for students in Bac Giang province to arouse and spread the passion for reading; exchange and share experiences of reading and develop a reading culture; thereby encouraging and promoting the reading movement in schools and communities to form habits and improve reading skills for students. The contest has received attention and facilitation from leaders at all levels, sectors, agencies, units and localities in the province; attracted the participation of a large number of students; the attention of parents and teachers. Through the contest, the position, role and good values of reading culture are affirmed in improving the ability to access information and knowledge of the young generation; developing thinking, creativity, nurturing personality, forming a healthy lifestyle, aiming for beauty, contributing to building a learning society.

Mr. Khong Duc Thanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, spoke at the launching ceremony of the Reading Culture Ambassador Contest 2025.

The contest has been continuously organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Education and Training since 2019. After 6 times of organization, there have been 347,387 contestants participating, with 174 prizes awarded in the Preliminary Round. The number of contestants has increased sharply each year , affirming the spread and strong attraction of the contest.

The school and district-level rounds will be organized by schools, starting from March 21, 2025. Units will select the best entries and send them to the Provincial Organizing Committee before May 25, 2025 for scoring and submitting entries to the National Final round before July 15, 2025. It is expected that in October 2025, the Competition Summary will take place, honoring the National Reading Culture Ambassador in Hoa Lu city, Ninh Binh province.

Mr. Nguyen Dac Hong, Director of Bac Giang Provincial Library, presented books to the provincial Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities.

On this occasion, Bac Giang Provincial Library donated more than 100 books to the library of the provincial Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities./.
