According to the draw results, the host Ton Duc Thang University (code A1) will compete in Group A with two strong opponents from Southeast Asia, Life University (Cambodia) and Lao University. Meanwhile, Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism (code B3) will face two international teams, Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) and Malaysia University in Group B.

This year's tournament features 6 teams, divided into 2 groups competing in a round robin. The top and second-place teams in each group will advance to the semi-finals, with the two winners advancing to the final and the two losers playing for third place.
