Mr. Huynh Quang Hung ceased to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Phu Quoc City Party Committee.

On August 19, at the People's Committee of Phu Quoc City, the Executive Committee of the Phu Quoc City Party Committee held a conference to announce the decision of the Standing Committee of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee on personnel work in Phu Quoc City.

Accordingly, the Standing Committee of Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee decided to transfer Mr. Huynh Quang Hung - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of Phu Quoc City People's Committee - to stop participating in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and stop holding the position of Deputy Secretary of Phu Quoc City Party Committee (term 2020-2025).

At the conference, the Standing Committee of Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee also announced the decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Huynh Quang Hung - Chairman of Phu Quoc City People's Committee - to hold the position of Deputy Head of Phu Quoc Economic Zone Management Board for a period of 5 years from August 15.

At the same time, the Standing Committee of Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee also rotated and appointed Mr. Tran Minh Khoa - Director of Kien Giang Provincial Department of Finance - to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Phu Quoc City Party Committee (term 2020-2025) to replace Mr. Hung.

Previously, the Standing Committee of Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee unanimously introduced Mr. Tran Minh Khoa to be elected by Phu Quoc City People's Council to hold the position of Chairman of Phu Quoc City People's Committee (term 2021-2026).

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Lam Minh Thanh - Chairman of Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee - said that the Party Committee and the people of Kien Giang hope that the cadres appointed and transferred this time will continue to fulfill their assigned tasks and strive, work hard, and devote themselves to making Phu Quoc City develop further.
