Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) has just announced a personnel change. Accordingly, Vietcombank has decided to appoint Mr. Do Viet Hung as the person in charge of the bank's Board of Directors from January 1, 2024 until further decision by the Board of Directors. Before being appointed to the above position, Mr. Hung was a member of the Board of Directors for the 2023-2028 term.
At the same time, the bank also decided to dismiss Mr. Pham Quang Dung from the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors from January 1, 2024. Mr. Dung was previously appointed as Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam.
Mr. Do Viet Hung was born in 1970 in Hanoi, has a master's degree in business administration from Chulalongkorn University (Thailand) in association with Northwestern University and the University of Pennsylvania (USA).
Mr. Do Viet Hung was appointed as the person in charge of the activities of Vietcombank's Board of Directors.
Since 1992, Mr. Hung started working as a specialist at Vietcombank. In 1994, he moved to work at the Department of International Cooperation, State Bank.
During the period from 1998 to 2014, Mr. Hung held many positions at the State Bank such as: Deputy Head of WB Department, International Cooperation Department; Head of Bilateral Department, International Cooperation Department; Deputy Head of International Cooperation Department; Head of Vietnam Financial Sector Assessment Panel (FSAP)...
From April 2014 to April 2019, Mr. Hung held the position of Director of the Monetary and Financial Stabilization Department, State Bank.
Thus, with the above decision of Vietcombank, the bank's executive board from 2024 will include Mr. Do Viet Hung - Member of the Board of Directors and the person in charge of the Board of Directors' activities and the remaining 5 members, respectively Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, Mr. Nguyen My Hao, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Mr. Shojiro Mizoguchi (Japan) and Mr. Hong Quang .
