On the morning of October 18, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Hoang Cong Thuy reported on the results of the first conference of the 10th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024 - 2029.
Accordingly, at the first conference, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th tenure, 2024-2029, democratically elected the Presidium, Standing Committee and non-professional Vice Chairmen of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
The conference agreed on the number of members participating in the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th tenure, to be 72.
At the conference, democratic consultation elected 67 positions, 5 of which were filled during the term.
The conference democratically elected four members of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th tenure, to join the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th tenure, term 2024-2029.
Mr. Do Van Chien, member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, holds the position of Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th tenure.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, member of the Party Central Committee, holds the position of Vice President - General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th tenure.
Mr. Hoang Cong Thuy and Ms. To Thi Bich Chau hold the position of Vice Chairmen of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th tenure.
The conference democratically elected 7 members of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th tenure, to hold the position of non-professional vice chairmen of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th tenure.
Including Ms. Ha Thi Khiet, former head of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization; Ms. Nguyen Thi Doan, former Vice President; Venerable Thich Thien Nhon, Deputy Head of the Council of Dharma Masters, Chairman of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha;
Priest Tran Xuan Manh, President of the Central Committee of Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics; Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City; Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.
Along with that is Mr. Do Hong Quan, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations.
More than 50% of the new Central Committee members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front are non-Party members.
Previously, at the working session on the afternoon of October 17, the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front approved the number of members of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 10th term, 2024-2029, including 405 members, the Presidium of 72 members, the Standing Committee of 6 members; and 8 non-professional Vice Chairmen.
In which, the composition structure includes: heads of member organizations: 51 positions (an increase of 4 positions compared to the 9th term); chairmen of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of provinces and cities: 63 positions (equal to the 9th term).
Outstanding individuals: 273 (an increase of 15 compared to the 9th term), specifically: intellectuals and experts in various fields: 81 (an increase of 7 compared to the 9th term); workers, farmers, armed forces, island districts: 18.
Representatives of ethnic minorities: 53 people, the structure is sufficient to represent 53 ethnic minorities; representatives of religious dignitaries: 53 people, the structure is sufficient to represent 16 religions and religious organizations with many followers recognized by the State.
Representatives of economic sectors: 50 (7 more than the IX session); Vietnamese people residing abroad: 18 (1 more than the IX session), the structure of Vietnamese people residing abroad represents 5 continents.
Full-time staff of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front: 18 positions (1 position increase compared to the 9th term).
Specifically, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has 6 members; heads of departments and units under the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front have 12 members (an increase of 1 person compared to the 9th term), with a full structure of 10 departments, specialized units and 2 public service units.
The combined structure includes 203 non-Party members (50.1%); 89 women (21.9%); 103 ethnic minorities (25.4%); 69 religious members (17%); and 327 with university degrees or higher (80.7%).
In terms of age, 43 people were under 40 years old (10.8%); 190 people were between 41 and 60 years old (47.9%); 164 people were over 61 years old (41.3%).
The youngest person was born in 2004 – 20 years old (Ms. Thi Ha, a typical individual of the S'Tieng ethnic group, Phu Nghia commune, Bu Gia Map district, Binh Phuoc province).
The oldest person was born in 1934 – 90 years old (Thai Dau Su Tran Duc Tang, Head of the Standing Committee of the Cao Dai Minh Chon Dao Holy See).
