Meritorious Artist Dr. Nguyen Thi Hai Phuong was moved at the 4th "I love the zither" award ceremony

Meritorious Artist - Doctor Nguyen Thi Hai Phuong expressed her joy at the achievements of the 4th "I love the zither" Festival.

On the morning of September 15, at the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Culture Palace, the 4th "I love the zither" Festival in 2024 held a closing ceremony and awarded prizes, performing the winning works. The "I love the zither" Festival was organized by the Homeland Singing Club in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Culture Palace.

At the beginning of the program, the audience cheered on the "Tam Phap Nhap Mon" concert performed by all the contestants. Meritorious Artist - Doctor Nguyen Thi Hai Phuong was moved and hoped that the contestants would be the next generation, preserving the roots of national culture through their love for the zither.

The "I love the zither" festival is an annual event, however, since 2021, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the festival has been postponed. "I love the zither" is a playground for children who are passionate about the zither, a meeting place for them to express their passion for learning traditional musical instruments.

The awards were given to deserving candidates, receiving enthusiastic cheers from the audience.

Meritorious teacher Pham Thuy Hoan was equally moved. She said that the 4th "I love the zither" Festival in 2024 attracted nearly 60 contestants under 15 years old from many schools in Ho Chi Minh City to participate and the closing ceremony was a warm space of teacher-student love together to nurture a new generation of people who love the Vietnamese zither.

Meritorious Artist - Doctor Nguyen Thi Hai Phuong said that despite the temporary postponement, the movement of teaching and learning the zither in schools still created attraction, not only the excitement of the children but also the full support of parents, this year's prize is much higher than previous years.

Concert "Introduction to the Three Dharmas"

Meritorious teacher Pham Thuy Hoan added that in the 4th "I love the zither" festival, students will not only perform alone but teachers will also participate. This is a new feature to create a bond between generations, helping students love the zither more. Besides domestic contestants, the festival will gather contestants who are children of overseas Vietnamese to participate.

The results of the 4th "I love zither" Festival - 2024 are as follows:

Group A: First prize: Le Minh Thuy (born in 2015 - Dang Van Ngu High School); Second prize: Do Hai Linh (born in 2017 - Trung Trac Primary School); Third prize: Pham Hoang My An (born in 2016 - Tran Quoc Thao Primary School).

Group B: First prize: Nguyen Hoang Khanh Anh (born in 2009 - Hai Ba Trung Secondary School); 3 second prizes: Lu Trien Phong (born in 2013 - Dong Nai College of Culture and Arts), Truong Quoc Bao (born in 2009 - Ngo Tat To Secondary School), Nguyen Song Tinh Nhan (born in 2011, Le Anh Xuan Secondary School).

There are also 5 fourth prizes (Group A), 7 fourth prizes (Group B). Youngest contestant award: Do Hai Linh (born in 2017); Most impressive contestant: Nguyen Phung Nha Uyen (born in 2011, Trung Trac Primary School), Unit with the largest number of contestants (21 contestants): Thanh Am Viet Music Center.
