(CLO) A bomb exploded in the lobby of the Alye Parusa luxury apartment complex in Moscow on February 3, killing at least one person and injuring four others.
According to Russian media, the bomb exploded as a man with bodyguards entered the lobby of the Alye Parusa apartment complex located on the banks of the Moscow River, just 12 kilometers from the Kremlin.
Russian news agency TASS quoted law enforcement sources as saying that the explosion was aimed at assassinating Armen Sarkisyan, who Ukraine accused of supporting Russia's special military operation in the Donetsk region, eastern Ukraine.
Sarkisyan is a pro-Russian paramilitary leader in eastern Ukraine. Sarkisyan is in critical condition and will have to have part of his leg amputated.

A law enforcement official said the assassination was carefully planned and investigators are hunting for those behind the attack.
Baza, a Telegram channel linked to Russia's security services, released video of severe damage to the building's lobby, confirming that Sarkisyan was seriously injured.
Also in December, Ukraine claimed responsibility for the assassination of Russian General Igor Kirillov in a separate bombing in Moscow. There has been no official response from Ukraine to the February 3 explosion.
