Ninh Thuan accelerates to affirm its position as a national industrial and energy center

With a breakthrough development strategy, turning all challenges of the land of sunshine, wind and deep-water sea advantages into potential and development opportunities, Ninh Thuan has transformed itself with rapid and sustainable growth steps. In 2024 alone, the province achieved a GRDP growth rate of 8.74% with an average income per capita of approximately 4,000 USD/person/year, ranking 4th out of 14 provinces in the region and 16th out of 63 provinces and cities.

Ninh Thuan also takes advantage of its strengths in the seaport - logistics - clean energy industry to attract a large amount of foreign investment capital. Thanks to that, the province has entered the top 10 in attracting FDI with a total capital of over 1.214 billion USD, becoming one of the driving forces for economic development in the South Central region.

In particular, the clean energy sector is considered a pillar of Ninh Thuan's development, emphasized in the 2021-2030 planning period, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Government. The province focuses on developing solar power, wind power, LNG power, and most recently, Vietnam's first nuclear power project has been restarted in Phuoc Dinh commune (Thuan Nam district) and Vinh Hai commune (Ninh Hai district). This is not only the "key" to solving the national energy security problem, but also makes Ninh Thuan an important energy center in the region.

Ninh Thuan is oriented towards "sustainable - classy - unique" development, exploiting natural potential with a beautiful 105km coastal road. Ninh Thuan has attracted more than 3.46 million visitors with social income from tourism reaching 3,900 billion VND in 2024.

Becoming an important economic and energy center of the region also becomes an important foundation, promoting Ninh Thuan to develop many other fields such as tourism, industry or real estate... Especially in Thuan Nam district, where many key projects are concentrated, helping to promote the development pillars of the province.

For example, the Ca Na integrated seaport project covers an area of ​​about 108 hectares, with a total investment of 6,500 billion VND. Currently, phase 1 of the project has come into operation, reaching more than 1 million tons of cargo through the port. This project plays a key role in expanding the logistics chain, transporting goods and raw materials from existing energy projects in the area.

Ca Na Industrial Park, Ca Na Logistics Center, dry port, electricity... have a total investment of up to tens of billions of dollars. Of which, the LNG power plant with a total investment of nearly 52,000 billion VND is expected to invite bids in June 2025. These projects are the premise for population development in the area when attracting a large number of workers and experts. It is forecasted that by 2035, this area will attract up to 56,000 high-quality workers to live and work.
