Ninh Binh flies flags at half-mast in memory of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong

Today (July 25, 2024), the funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong began to be held according to the National Funeral protocol. With infinite sorrow, agencies, units, businesses and people of Ninh Binh province simultaneously flew flags at half-mast, expressing their deep respect and remembrance for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

The flag was flown at half-mast solemnly in front of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee headquarters, expressing the deep condolences of Ninh Binh province's officials and party members for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

The act of flying the flag at half-mast shows deep respect and remembrance for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, a leader devoted to the country and the people, a loyal, honest, and upright communist; a model of a simple, close-to-the-people leadership style, always for the benefit of the people; a person who devoted his entire life to the work of building and rectifying the Party, for a strong and prosperous country.

The funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong will be held under the National Mourning protocol, taking place over two days, July 25 and 26. During the two days of National Mourning, agencies, offices, and public places will fly flags at half-mast, and no public entertainment activities will be held.

The flag is flown at half-mast at the provincial police headquarters.

The method of hanging the flag at half-mast according to the National Funeral ceremony is specifically regulated in Decree 105/2012/ND-CP dated December 17, 2012 of the Government. Accordingly, the flag is hung to 2/3 of the height of the flagpole, using a black cloth band to tie the flag so that it does not fly. The black cloth band is 1/10 the width of the flag, the length is the same as the length of the flag. The pole used to hang the flag must be an independent flagpole. The flag must be hung at half-mast in a solemn place, ensuring aesthetics.

The flag-raising ceremony to commemorate General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong will be held until July 26.

The national flag and black ribbon were raised in a solemn and respectful atmosphere, expressing the condolences of the cadres and party members of Yen Mo district Party Committee.

The flag is flown at half-mast at the headquarters of the Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee of Phu Loc commune, Nho Quan district.

The flag is flown at half-mast at the Administrative Headquarters of Phat Diem town, Kim Son district.

In addition to agencies and offices, many businesses and households in the province also voluntarily flew flags at half-mast during the National Mourning Days, expressing their feelings, gratitude and also saying farewell to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong - an exceptionally outstanding leader, a great personality of the nation.

The flag is flown at half-mast at Dong Giao Food Export Joint Stock Company (Tam Diep city).
