Ho Chi Minh City Five universities announced the standard score for transcripts, most of them at 6 points per subject, one school only 5.5 points.
On April 6, Van Lang University announced the first round of early admission scores at 18-24 points, mostly equal to the floor score (minimum score to register for admission), similar to last year.
This score is the total score of three subjects in the 12th grade admission combination, or the average score of three subjects in 11th grade and semester 1, 12th grade.
Specifically, the standard score for Dentistry, Medicine, and Pharmacy is 24 points; Nursing and Medical Laboratory Technology are 19.5 points. This is the minimum score to ensure the input quality of the Health sector, according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
The two majors with admission scores higher than the minimum score are Multimedia Communications and Public Relations with 20 points, 2 points higher than the minimum score. The remaining 50 majors and programs all have an average admission score of 6 points per subject.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) also set the first round of high school transcripts as the benchmark score for 63 majors at 18-24 points.
Pharmacy has the highest score, Nursing and Medical Laboratory Technology both have 19.5 points. The rest of the school's standard score is 18.
Candidates can be admitted based on the average score of 3 subjects in grade 12 or the average score of three semesters (grade 11 and semester I of grade 12).
The school representative said that this admission round received more than 4,300 applications with about 12,000 wishes. With the announced standard score, more than 10,500 wishes met the admission conditions. A candidate can be admitted to many wishes.
This year, HUTECH will enroll about 12,500 students. Of these, half will be based on academic transcripts, 45% will be based on high school graduation exam scores, and the rest will be based on Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment scores.

The standard score of Hong Bang International University (HIU) is similar, at 18-24, equal to the minimum admission score. In which, the Health group majors take 19.5-24 points, the highest.

This year, Hong Bang International University will enroll 4,800 students through five methods: considering high school graduation exam scores, considering academic transcripts, Ho Chi Minh City National University's assessment results, SAT scores, and direct admission.
Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF) has a benchmark score of 18 for all majors, based on a combination of 3 subjects in grade 12 or the average score of 3 semesters (grade 11 and semester I of grade 12).
Among the 5 schools, Gia Dinh University (GDU) has the lowest standard score - 16.5 points, which is the average score of two semesters of grade 11 and semester I of grade 12.
This year, Gia Dinh University will enroll more than 2,020 students, about 60% of which will be based on high school graduation exam scores. The remaining will be based on academic records and Ho Chi Minh City National University's ability assessment test scores.

According to university admission regulations, candidates who are admitted early to schools must still register their wishes on the common system of the Ministry of Education and Training, and can only be admitted to one highest wish.
In 2023, according to statistics from the Ministry, of more than half a million university graduates, 30.24% were admitted by considering their transcripts, second only to considering high school graduation exam scores (49.5%).
