Foreign Trade University said that with the admission method based on high school academic results (reviewing academic records), the school applies to 3 groups of subjects: candidates who won national excellent student awards or national science and technology awards; students from specialized schools or national key high schools; non-specialized students who won first, second, and third prizes in provincial/city excellent student competitions.
For each group of candidates, candidates can choose to be admitted based on their high school academic results according to the subject combinations (average score of 6 semesters of 3 subjects) or combined with international language certificates, depending on the training program.
The school applies a number of conditions that candidates must meet in each group of subjects, such as a total score of 24 or higher in 3 graduation exams; a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 and other equivalent certificates (if combined); 6 semesters of good academic performance and good conduct.
University of Commerce considers admission based on the high school academic results of candidates who have studied for 3 years (grades 10, 11, 12) at national specialized high schools/national key high schools, graduating in 2025 according to each subject group for admission.
Technical schools
Hanoi University of Science and Technology (USTH) has just announced its 2025 enrollment plan with many changes. This year, the school will reserve about 20% of its enrollment quota based on high school academic results combined with interviews.
The University of Transport will consider admission based on the three-year high school scores of three subjects in a combination. The school's regulations on considering transcripts and high school graduation exam scores allow candidates to use converted IELTS scores to replace English scores if admission is based on a combination that includes English.
Hanoi University of Industry also considers the three-year high school scores of three subjects in the combination, but not independently like last year, but combines international certificates, excellent student awards, Hanoi National University's ability assessment test scores, or Hanoi University of Science and Technology's thinking assessment.

Law
This year, Hanoi Law University plans to enroll about 2,650 students, an increase of about 150 students compared to last year. The school plans to continue to consider admission based on the results of the 10th, 11th, and 12th grade transcripts according to the specific combinations determined for each major and consider converting international language certificates.
Ho Chi Minh City University of Law considers the scores of 3 years of high school, three subjects in a combination of international certificates (applicable to students of international high schools); considers the entire transcript score for students of high schools in the priority list.
And a series of schools consider admission based on academic records.
In addition, the University of Forestry also announced 4 admission methods with 2,300 targets in 2025, including the method of considering high school academic results (considering academic records).
In 2025, the Vietnam Women's Academy plans to enroll 1,765 students for 11 majors through 6 methods. For transcript-based admission, the academy will consider the results of three years of high school (grades 10, 11, 12). The expected time for transcript-based admission is from May 2025.
The combinations selected for admission are: A00, A01, C00, D01, D09, D14 and some more combinations may be added for each major after the official admission announcement.
Meanwhile, the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture will consider the 12th grade scores of three subjects according to the combination; combining the 12th grade transcript with international certificates.
From 2025, Gia Dinh University also plans to open more health majors such as Dentistry, Nursing, and Rehabilitation Technology.
Candidates can choose one of three admission methods: considering the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam; considering the results of the high school transcript (according to the 2025 admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training); considering the results of the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City National University's capacity assessment exam.
In 2024, there will be more than 100 universities nationwide that will consider admission based on academic records. Also this year, it will be the first year that military schools will consider admission based on academic records, except for the Military Technical Academy and the Military Medical Academy with about 10% of the target. The required condition is that candidates have a total score of 7 or higher in each year of high school, and the subjects in the admission combination must have a minimum score of 7.5.
