Strengthening the application of artificial intelligence in health sector training

(NLDO) - Through the seminar, we aim to receive comments and contributions from scientists to improve and enhance the quality of training in the health sector.

On March 21, Cuu Long University organized a seminar (in person and online) on the topic of improving the quality of training in the health sector.

In his opening speech, Distinguished Teacher Luong Minh Cu said that Cuu Long University currently has 9 training majors in the field of Health Sciences, including 3 new majors: Traditional Medicine, Dentistry, and Rehabilitation Technology.

The training scale of the Health Sciences sector is about 10,000 students, accounting for about 30% of the total student population of the school. The teaching staff includes professors, associate professors, doctors, masters, and specialists I and II.

The school is building a building to serve the training of the Health Sciences sector with an investment capital of about 150 billion VND...

The seminar received many enthusiastic opinions from scientists and lecturers of the health sector of Cuu Long University, revolving around the following contents: Training and development of teaching staff (tenured, invited lecturers, lecturers teaching practice at hospitals); facilities: Practice - internship rooms at the school, preclinical center, library, simulation center; cooperation with medical facilities (department of health, practice hospital); development of programs, textbooks, learning materials; international cooperation, scientific research, technology transfer; student learning environment.

Lecturers must acquire and update knowledge continuously, be proactive, creative, and determined to help the school develop sustainably and integrate internationally. Improve practical training knowledge, combine with practical training facilities. Strengthen connection with the community. Community participation in culture, resolve knowledge gaps. Help them improve their knowledge, integrate with the community, and serve well the health care work for the people.

According to specialist doctor II Nguyen Thanh Truyen, Vinh Long General Hospital has signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with Cuu Long University since October 2023. To improve training in the health sector, Dr. Truyen said that in addition to coordination between the school and the hospital in practical training, it is necessary to strengthen scientific research and application of technology in training and research.
