After a period of focusing on composing songs for children (album 300 children's songs ), and folk music (album Continuing the story of peace ), in 2025, musician Nguyen Van Chung hopes to turn a new page, pursuing his forte in ballad music.

Nguyen Van Chung marks a milestone with New Chapter

He made the ballad album New Chapter , which is the opening product of this year. Nguyen Van Chung returns to compose ballads with a fresh perspective, full of experience after going through loss, pain and is no longer the pen of Nguyen Van Chung when he was 20 years old.

"Going through many storms and life events helps me have many creative emotions. The content of the songs in the album New Chapter is about love, life and people.

Each song is like a friend sharing and encouraging words with the audience, helping them have more motivation and energy to overcome" - musician Nguyen Van Chung told Tuoi Tre Online .

The album New Chapter has two parts. Vol 1 includes eight songs: The one who stops loving me, Laugh and cry, Be brave girl, Don't love anyone too much, When will we meet again, The heart will heal, The old person has a new person, Who has extra happiness has just been released on digital music platforms.

Album vol 2 also includes new compositions, expected to be released at the end of April 2025.

Invite the right voice for the song

With New Chapter , Nguyen Van Chung invited the most beautiful and suitable voices for the song to record.

What's special is that all of them are singers who are collaborating with musician Nguyen Van Chung for the first time, such as Hoai Lam, Thuy Chi, Mai Tien Dung, Thai Trinh, Pham Hong Phuoc, Vicky Nhung, Nguyen Duyen Quynh, Nguyen Dinh Tuan Dung... and even lesser-known singers.

Nguyen Van Chung shared: "Up until now, I have liked sending songs to less famous singers and hope that they and the song will have a good relationship and become hits. This is also a challenge for me, but the criteria for choosing the right singer is always the top priority."

When asked if Nguyen Van Chung plans to do a live show to promote new songs, he said "I hope to have enough luck to do a music night".

I am very happy that the audience still remembers Nguyen Van Chung's old hits, but I don't want to remember them anymore. Instead, I spend my time focusing on composing new songs that are suitable for my current experiences.

The new chapter is a mark but also a different perspective, a profound perspective, expressing the point of view in love. That is, you bring happiness to yourself, instead of waiting for someone.
