On March 2, according to information from the Thach Binh Commune Police (Ha Tinh City, Ha Tinh), a local resident discovered and handed over a rare large land turtle weighing 12kg to the authorities for care and nurturing before releasing it into the natural environment.
Mr. Nguyen Van Truong, residing in Tay Bac village, Thach Binh commune, Ha Tinh province, discovered a 12kg land turtle while working in the fields. Realizing the importance of protecting wildlife, Mr. Truong proactively contacted the authorities to hand over the turtle.

The Ha Tinh Mobile Forest Ranger and Forest Fire Prevention and Fighting Team received the large land turtle and coordinated with Vu Quang National Park to carry out the care and nurturing process before releasing it back into the natural environment. This work is to ensure that the turtle can recover and adapt well before returning to the natural ecosystem.
The Forest Rangers also received a 3.5kg golden monkey from Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, a resident of Tran Phu Ward, Ha Tinh City. This is a golden monkey belonging to group IIB in the list of endangered, precious, and rare forest animals. This golden monkey was also handed over to the authorities for care and protection.

The actions of residents in Ha Tinh City in voluntarily handing over rare wild animals to authorities not only contribute to the protection of wild animals but also spread the message of environmental awareness and rare animal protection in the community.
