(NADS) - Hanan Maamoun, a multi-talented visual artist from Egypt, is making inroads in the fields of fine art photography and digital art. Inspired by Cubism, she transforms traditional photographs into abstract works that combine architecture, geometry, and bold colors.
Maamoun’s work is not just static images, but emotional visual stories that challenge viewers to reflect on how they perceive art. With a meticulous creative process, from researching, sketching ideas to using Photoshop to create the final composition, Maamoun proves that art is a journey full of breakthroughs.
Her signature project, “Fruitopia,” explores the relationship between humans and nature through the combination of architecture, models, and food, while her “Question Mark” series reflects the disappearance of historical heritage buildings as they are replaced by modern buildings, raising questions about the value of heritage and culture.
With prestigious awards such as the First Prize for Photography at the Farouk Hosny Art Foundation and the Youth Salon at the Egyptian Opera House, Maamoun continues to push her artistic boundaries. Whether experimenting with new printing methods or exploring modern digital styles, she remains true to her goal of creating work that provokes curiosity and opens up new dialogues.
As she shares: “I want my work to make people stop, look at and question the world around them in a completely new way.” Hanan Maamoun, with her unique and ambitious style, continues to shape modern art in her own way.
