Not just chamber, classical
According to information sent to the press, the program gathers many "vocal artists" (strong in singing) such as People's Artist Quang Tho, People's Artist Quoc Hung, Meritorious Artist Lan Anh, Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan, and even Dao To Loan...
Along with that are teachers who are trained and have strengths in classical and chamber music of the academy such as Phuc Tiep, Manh Hoach, Meritorious Artist Phuong Nga, Meritorious Artist Phuong Uyen...
Does it make the audience feel stuffy or too technical?
Singer Tan Nhan - head of the vocal department - shared that when reading information about the music night performed by lecturers of the Vietnam National Academy of Music, many people would think that the program would only have opera and chamber music.
"We sing many genres, from classical chamber music to folk and pop music," the artist said.
Tan Nhan, for example, Phuc Tiep - a true chamber musician - will sing the song "To My Southern Sister" (music by Doan Chuan, lyrics by Tu Linh).
Tenor Manh Hoach, who specializes in singing world classics, will sing Hanoi in the season of fallen leaves (composer Hoang Nhat Minh) in an unexpectedly gentle and romantic way.
Or Khanh Ly and Huong Diep, who specialize in chamber music, will perform a famous song by musician Giang Son, Hanoi 12 seasons of flowers .
In addition to the above names, the music night also had the participation of artists Anh Tho, Quang Ha, Le Anh Dung, Nguyen Vu, Bich Hong; young singers such as Huong Ly, Ngoc Dinh, rapper Mezzo, pianist Bui Dang Khanh... and students of the school who have won domestic and international awards in recent times.
