The Sketch a Rose concert in Ho Chi Minh City took place on March 8 and 9 at Global City. Singer Ha Anh Tuan said he "sang with all his heart" to the point of losing his voice just 15 minutes before the second night of the show.
Each show had about 10,000 spectators, a total of 20,000 spectators came to see Ha Anh Tuan when he returned to beloved Ho Chi Minh City.
"Sing with all your life" with the legend
After finishing a series of songs with piano legend Yiruma near midnight on March 9, Ha Anh Tuan confided to the audience: "Tuan once dreamed of becoming a singer singing with a piano legend. You should live with your dream and go find it. Of course, if you sing too badly, you have to change your career. The singing career is not much except for times like this.
Yesterday, I sang with all my heart, as if I was singing with all my life. Today, at 7:45 p.m., I was completely silent. I looked up to the sky and said if there was a miracle, let me sing tonight and then I will rest for a week. And finally, God let me stand here and sing for you all."

During the Sketch a Rose show, Ha Anh Tuan treated the audience to more than 20 songs, including new songs from the album of the same name as well as big hits in his career: April is your lie, Spring; duet First love too drunk with Quang Hung MasterD; duet 999 roses and Love just hurts with Lam Truong.
In the finale, he sang a series of songs with Yiruma as accompanist, including the song Dear, Memory, composed especially for him.

Ha Anh Tuan's loyal audience is familiar with the fact that although he is not a great vocalist, he always tries to sing live throughout the entire concert.
He also acted as MC and led the crowd very well with his humor, as well as moving around the stage and rows to get closer to the audience. By the end of the concert, he was singing and dancing very well.
The singer was also very enthusiastic about being a matchmaker at the concert when on both the nights of March 8 and 9, there were guys proposing to their girlfriends. He not only invited them on stage but also led the way and sang for them after the girls agreed.
Therefore, Ha Anh Tuan's concert was very tiring. Despite signs of poor health in the past year (he once staggered on stage), he still tried his best to complete two nights of Sketch a Rose .
Ha Anh Tuan bridges generations of male singers
Ha Anh Tuan had three official guests in the music night: Yiruma, Lam Truong and Quang Hung MasterD. When performing with each person, he showed different musical colors.
But there were still unofficial guests, Hoang Dung, Duy Khang (Chillies) and Thanh Nghiep. They were musicians who composed songs for Ha Anh Tuan in the album, sitting in the audience. Every time he introduced them, he pulled them up to sing and joked "to avoid paying".

When introducing these young singers and musicians, Ha Anh Tuan also appeared modest, saying that he was afraid they would sing better than him, so he did not dare to officially invite them.
Hoang Dung went on stage, Tuan warned him in advance: "Sing moderately, remember whose album this is". Singing First Love Too Drunkenly with Quang Hung MasterD, he warned him: "Don't read First Love Too Drunkenly backwards or you'll die".
Singing with Lam Truong, Ha Anh Tuan switched to the role of junior. He said that when he was young, he spent a lot of money to listen to Lam Truong sing because he admired him so much, hoping to have many hits and still be as young as his senior when he was 50.

With the legendary pianist Yiruma, Ha Anh Tuan interacted as if they were equals because they were only 7 years apart in age. He spoke happily in English, placing his hand on Yiruma's shoulder while singing. Previously, Yiruma also shared that he admired Ha Anh Tuan for doing so much charity work and wanted to go with him and learn from him.
The message throughout Ha Anh Tuan's music nights is the connection of many generations of male singers in Vietnamese music - those who have been rising strongly in the past year with "brother" programs.
Ha Anh Tuan is probably in the "middle" generation and is also a bridge: he is the older brother of Vu., Phan Manh Quynh, Quang Hung MasterD, Hoang Dung, Duy Khang... but is the younger brother of Lam Truong, Dan Truong and even invited Tuan Ngoc to sing with him.
Ha Anh Tuan brings Sketch a Rose to America
In the final seconds of the concert on the night of March 9, Ha Anh Tuan announced that Sketch a Rose would be coming to the US with a night at the Dolby Theater, Los Angeles, USA on October 18. This is the venue for the annual Oscar awards ceremony.
He continues on his journey to "conquer" famous and iconic theaters around the world.
