Transformation of healing trends
Type the phrase "healing podcast" on TikTok, and thousands of related results are provided by this platform. However, most of the content of the videos above is not "healing", but on the contrary, it is negative content such as swearing, negativity, attacks...
Most of the "podcasts" above are about 30 seconds to 1 minute long, but the "digital content creators" constantly swear, using offensive words to attack viewers such as: "If you say that life is like xxx, you've had it once but life is still xxx"; "Are you happy today, my day is like xxx".
It is worth mentioning that after being posted, the above videos became a "trend" on the TikTok platform, attracting tens of thousands of likes and millions of views.
Just products labeled as healing
Regarding the content of the above videos, Ms. Vu Thi Oanh - a social science expert and former lecturer at Hong Duc University (Thanh Hoa province) - commented that these are products labeled as healing, not bringing real effectiveness to people with psychological trauma.
Even the videos above make listeners have negative thoughts and lose faith in real treatments.
"Maybe the person spreading this content only intended to entertain. But people who really have psychological problems when hearing this content will feel more and more pessimistic, depressed and lose faith in the treatment process.
Initially, they turned to healing podcasts hoping to find comfort and encouragement. But unexpectedly, their psychological problems became more serious, such as increased anxiety, stress, and even leading to negative imitative behaviors if they listened to it many times" - Ms. Vu Thi Oanh analyzed.
Nguyen Ngoc Linh Chi (22 years old, living in Hanoi) shared her story: "Recently, I have felt unmotivated and confused in life, so I wanted to listen to a healing podcast to lift my spirits. However, after listening, I felt even more that I had many shortcomings, was inferior to my peers, and became even more negative."
Correct perception orientation about healing for young people

Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online, Master of Clinical Psychology Dang Duc Anh - a psychological consultant at the British Vietnamese International School in Hanoi - said that the desire to be healed is always legitimate, a need that exists in every person.
"I really appreciate the efforts of content creators in bringing entertaining and interesting podcasts. But interesting is not enough. The content needs to be correct, scientifically accurate, and culturally and ethically sound, otherwise it can have more negative impacts than they think" - Duc Anh emphasized.
Faced with the reality of a plethora of classes and training programs advertised with "healing" benefits, psychology master Duc Anh assessed that this is truly a challenge in choosing the right service.
In order for young people to have a correct view of healing and be able to treat psychological problems effectively, Master of Psychology Duc Anh recommends: "Although each person will have their own feelings about healing, which is subjective in psychology, I hope that when we share and spread content on this topic, we should be really serious and careful.
Avoid having people who really need help get lost among thousands of negative videos and dozens of unhelpful measures.
Instead, they quickly choose a reputable, scientifically-based, and quality-assured psychological counseling/therapy service. We all do this for ourselves, our loved ones, and everyone around us."
