However, the Minister did not disclose which country would help provide the system and the time frame for the transfer.
Ukraine and the Netherlands have signed a declaration of intent to create a mechanism for financial support for Ukrainian arms manufacturers.
* Meanwhile, in a statement on Kossuth radio, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban reiterated that the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) will carry out a mission in Ukraine, but Hungary will not participate in this mission.
Prime Minister Orban stated: “NATO will establish its mission in Ukraine, but Hungary will not participate or contribute human resources, or provide weapons or financial resources for this purpose.”
He also reiterated that he had agreed on this issue with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and his successor, Dutch acting Prime Minister Mark Rutte. Hungary had received assurances from these two important figures that it would be able to limit its participation in the activities that the military alliance could carry out to expand military support for Ukraine.
Commenting on staying out of the NATO mission in Ukraine, Mr Orban said: “We have fulfilled our minimum task.” According to him, Hungary wants to remain an island of peace in Europe.
* Previously, on the same day, June 21, Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov declared that his country's forces had the initiative on the entire front line in Ukraine.
“We are holding the initiative on the entire front line, constantly reducing the enemy’s combat capabilities,” Belousov said at a ceremony attended by graduates of military, police and intelligence academies.
He also emphasized: “Currently, our country is at the forefront of a fierce struggle to establish a fair and equal world order… The Western collective is actively trying to contain the development of this struggle in order to undermine the independent political line and put the security of the (Russian) State under threat.”
