Trung Kien entered the first quarter competition as the contestant with the highest second place score in the monthly competition with a score of 165.
This is also the second time he has won the ticket to continue with the highest second place score. Therefore, the desire to win the highest position is probably no contestant greater than Trung Kien and he also understands that there is no chance for second place in the quarterly competition.
And that desire was also clearly shown by Trung Kien throughout the first quarter competition with excellent performance and leading in most competitions.
In the Warm-up round, Trung Kien won 40 points, but only tied for second place in the mountain climbing group, 15 points behind the leading player.
However, the Obstacle Course competition witnessed a strong breakthrough of the Phu Yen male student.
As soon as the first horizontal row was opened, Trung Kien quickly pressed the bell to signal the obstacle response.
By giving the correct answer “VNeID” before the question in the second row appeared, Trung Kien won an additional 60 points and took the lead in the mountain climbing group with 110 points.
At this point, the male student was temporarily 45 points ahead of the second place candidate. From this point on, the male student showed his superiority and the difference in score with the remaining candidates until the end of the competition.
In the Acceleration round, in the first question, only Trung Kien gave the correct answer and got 40 more points, bringing his score to 150.
After that, I got 20 more points to finish this part of the competition with 170 points, continuing to lead the climbing group, leaving the second place player 80 points behind.
In the Finish Line round, Trung Kien chose the 20-30-20 question package.
Answering 2/3 questions correctly, Trung Kien raised his score to 220.
But it didn't stop there, in Minh Anh's contest, in the second question with the star of hope, Trung Kien won the right to answer and got 30 more points, raising his score to 250.
In the third question in this player's package, Trung Kien continued to have the right to answer but did not give the correct answer, so he was deducted 15 points, leaving him with 235.
In the end, Trung Kien won the laurel wreath of the first quarter competition with 235 points and brought the television broadcast of the final match of the Road to Olympia 2023 to Phu Yen province.
“I feel very happy and overwhelmed with emotion to bring this glory to Phu Yen province,” Trung Kien shared.
Following Tran Trung Kien (Le Hong Phong High School, Phu Yen), are Nguyen Huu Tung (Don Duong High School, Lam Dong) with 165 points, Chu Ngoc Quang Vinh (Nguyen Tat Thanh High School for the Gifted, Yen Bai) with 85 points, and Nguyen Phuc Minh Anh (Thach That High School, Hanoi) with 5 points.
