Dai applied for admission with his high school transcript to the Information Technology major at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages ​​and Information Technology and was eligible to be admitted to both schools.

Previously, on the morning of June 27, Dai drove a 50cc motorbike to take the exam, but then crashed straight into an electric pole on the side of the road, causing him to become unconscious.

Dai was taken to Phu My Town Medical Center. Based on the information on the exam notice, the medical center's nurse contacted the exam site to inform Dai of his condition.

Due to severe injuries, Dai was unable to attend the high school graduation exam and was taken by his family to Cho Ray Hospital (HCMC) for further treatment.

Quang Dai was diagnosed with brain contusion and hemorrhage in the right frontal lobe; bilateral epidural hematoma and emphysema; fractures of the frontal sinus, bilateral maxilla, nasal bone, and vomer bone; emphysema of the eye sockets and soft tissue around the eyes on both sides; closed fracture of the lower end of the left radius... He has now recovered and has been discharged from the hospital.
