This is an activity within the framework of the Project "Love Vietnam" implemented by Nhan Dan Newspaper in coordination with technology partners to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the complete Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and to promote historical, cultural and tourist sites across the country, contributing to promoting tourism development in Vietnam.
The Buon Ma Thuot Prison National Special Historical Site is one of three locations implemented by the "Love Vietnam" Project in Dak Lak province. |
In Dak Lak province, with the consent of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, Nhan Dan Newspaper and technology partners coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to install NFC chip panels at three locations: Buon Ma Thuot Prison and Dak Lak Museum (both in Tu An ward, Buon Ma Thuot city); Buon Don Suspension Bridge Tourist Center (Krong Na commune, Buon Don district).
A wireless technology chip board is installed at the Buon Ma Thuot Prison National Special Historical Site. |
The NFC chip-embedded boards are designed in two colors, yellow and red, inspired by the Vietnamese National Flag, and can operate automatically without a power source. Each chip-embedded board will provide stories, images, videos or 3D models of the location or monument where the chip-embedded board is located; at the same time, it provides features for searching, navigating, and finding information to explore tourist destinations at the current location and surrounding areas.
Using a smartphone with internet connection, visitors will receive a lot of useful information about landmarks, monuments or destinations. |
When visiting the above tourist attractions and relics, visitors using smartphones with internet access and placing them on the NFC chip-embedded board will be certified to have checked-in at the location, save personal photos, and receive useful information about the location, relic or destination. When visitors experience all the places with chips in a locality, they will receive gifts from the program and a digital certificate upon completing their exploration there.
Many tourists are excited to try checking in with the NFC chip board at Dak Lak Museum. |
According to Mr. Tran Minh Tuan, Phygital Labs Joint Stock Company, Head of the "Love Vietnam" Project, this project is being implemented by Nhan Dan Newspaper in collaboration with technology partners in 63 provinces and cities across the country. Currently, the project has been installed in more than 40 provinces and cities and will soon develop new challenge games for tourists to check-in, as well as optimize features to serve tourism such as: guiding, supporting the flow of visitors to other locations when a location is too crowded; informing visitors of important events in localities... The project will also standardize the content to translate into other languages, contributing to promoting and introducing Vietnamese tourism to the world.
A representative of Phygital Labs Joint Stock Company guides visitors to use their internet-connected smartphones to interact with the NFC chip-mounted board. |
According to a representative of Nhan Dan Newspaper, the project aims to promote historical and cultural sites and destinations across the country from Ha Giang to Ca Mau; create unique discovery experiences for tourists, support and promote tourism in localities as well as the whole country.
NFC chip panels are installed in convenient, easy-to-see locations for visitors to experience. |
According to a representative of the Dak Lak Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the use of NFC chip boards will be one of the tools for the province to implement its digital transformation strategy, combining official information and data with technology and creative ideas to vividly and effectively promote important cultural and historical events and local tourism products to domestic and international tourists.
