Nha Be District People's Committee has just sent a report to the Ho Chi Minh City Inspectorate, recommending that Tan An Huy Construction and Housing Trading Joint Stock Company (Tan An Huy Company) be allowed to re-implement the Tan An Huy residential area project (Phuoc Kien commune, Nha Be, Ho Chi Minh City).
Mr. Nguyen Hong Hai, Chairman of Tan An Huy Board of Directors, said that in early February, the company restarted basic infrastructure work such as drainage, trees; lighting system; embankments, etc.
It is known that in 2005, the Tan An Huy project had a scale of 20.8 hectares, providing accommodation for about 5,500 residents, including more than 300 villas and an apartment project for more than 1,000 households. Of which, the apartment project was transferred to another partner for implementation.
In 2017, the former Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Le Anh Tuan, passed away and the project was stalled, mostly due to violations such as tax debts of more than 200 billion VND as well as the construction of 14 townhouses in violation of regulations or incomplete compensation...
Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has requested the investor to correct the violations before considering and resolving to continue implementing the project.
According to Mr. Hai, the company has paid a part of the tax, the rest the company asked to implement the project and pay gradually so that the project can be completed for the people, investors and good for the city's beauty.
The company has a plan that if granted permission to re-deploy, it will pay 50% of the tax within 6 months, and the remaining 50% of the tax in the following 6 months.
Tan An Huy Project (Nha Be District)
According to Nha Be District People's Committee, Tan An Huy Company has sent a representative to work with the authorities, report on project progress, and propose solutions to overcome difficulties.
Currently, Tan An Huy still has over 180 billion VND in tax and late payment fees. The company has not yet completed infrastructure construction, site clearance compensation, and dispute resolution with customers.
To gradually resolve the project's backlog, Nha Be District People's Committee proposed that Ho Chi Minh City consider resolving issues related to planning, construction, and land so that investors have additional financial options to fulfill their tax obligations and other obligations.
In addition, the district proposed that the City Inspectorate and relevant departments and branches agree on a plan to remove difficulties and obstacles of the investor to soon grant permission for Tan An Huy Company to re-implement the project.
