(NLDO) - From March 30, Ho Chi Minh City is likely to have an unseasonal rain until April 3, cooling down after days of widespread heat.
The Southern Hydrometeorological Station said that the southern provinces are about to receive a prolonged period of unseasonal rain to cool down after the current widespread heat wave ends.
Accordingly, today, March 29, many places in the South still have heat waves above 35 degrees Celsius. From March 30, the heat wave will gradually narrow and the highest temperature will decrease slightly.
In Ho Chi Minh City, the unseasonal rain may last from March 30 to April 3 over a large area.
The cause of the unseasonal rain is the equatorial low pressure trough that tends to lift its axis to the North and has an axis of about 5-8 degrees North latitude.
From tomorrow (March 30) onwards, the weather in the Southern region will be less hot and rainy.
In addition, there is a possibility that this low pressure trough will form a disturbance area in the South China Sea with a tendency to move towards the mainland.
In Ho Chi Minh City, the unseasonal rain may last from March 30 to April 3 over a large area.
According to the forecast, the weather during this unseasonal rain in Ho Chi Minh City and the South will be cloudy and sunny during the day. The heat will decrease. There will be showers and thunderstorms in some places, some places will have moderate rain, heavy rain (mainly in the late afternoon and at night).
The lowest temperature is from 23-26 degrees Celsius and the highest temperature is about 30-34 degrees Celsius.
In addition, this unseasonal rain appears in many places in the South but is concentrated in the coastal provinces of the Mekong Delta. During thunderstorms, beware of lightning, tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.
