In the program "Career Counseling Dialogue" organized by Tuoi Tre Thu Do Newspaper, experts from universities and colleges answered students' questions about career orientation, choosing a major, choosing a school, and many other important notes when registering for admission.

At the program, many 12th graders expressed concerns about the admission methods as well as things to note to optimize the chances of being admitted to prestigious universities. Answering this question, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thu Huong - Deputy Head of the Department of Psychology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, said that the registration method for university admission in 2025 will remain stable as last year. However, all high school transcripts, high school graduation exam scores and individual exam results of candidates will be uploaded to the system and considered for admission in one round.
Candidates can register for majors and schools according to their needs, at both college and university levels. They can take advantage of the best results, in any way, to set their wishes, reducing costs and efforts.

Choosing a "hot" career related to high-speed rail
At the program, Nguyen Hoang Minh (student of Le Van Thiem High School) asked: With the development of high-speed railways in the future, can teachers share about the human resource needs in this field and which majors are suitable for us to pursue if we want to contribute to the transportation development of Hanoi and the country?
Answering this question, Dr. Nguyen Van Dang, Director of the High-speed Railway Center, University of Transport Technology, provided a lot of interesting information about the future development of high-speed railways and the need for human resources in this field.

According to Dr. Dang, the Government has approved the policy of developing high-speed railways and building urban railways. In particular, the North-South high-speed railway is a super project, if combined with urban railways, the total investment will be about 200 billion USD. The goal of the North-South railway is to be completed in 2035 and the human resources needed for this project will be about 200,000 people. "If we include urban railways, we will need about 300,000 people. This project really needs the participation of the young generation," said Dr. Dang.
According to Dr. Dang, this is a multidisciplinary project including: survey, design, construction, information technology, operation, etc. For each field, the University of Transport Technology has a major to train. Students can choose these majors to have the opportunity to work in the high-speed railway field.

For more information about the University of Transport Technology, Dr. Dang said that this is a public school under the Ministry of Construction. In 2025, the school will celebrate its 80th anniversary and enroll 6,000 students for the following training majors: Information Technology, High-speed Railway, Mechatronics, Automotive Mechanics, etc. In particular, the school has an attractive scholarship policy for students.
In April 2025, Tuoi Tre Thu Do Newspaper will continue to coordinate with units and schools to organize 3 dialogue, counseling and career guidance programs for high school students at high schools in Ha Dong district, Thanh Tri district, Dan Phuong district and many other areas.
