(NLDO) - Unseasonal rain in the South with widespread thunderstorms lasting for several days and some places are likely to have moderate to heavy rain.
According to the Southern Regional Hydrometeorological Station, the rainy season in the South has completely ended in the first half of November. However, there will still be unseasonal rains in December.

The South is about to enter a period of unseasonal rain lasting for days.
Accordingly, in the first week of December (first 10 days of the month), the cold air will strengthen weakly and shift east on the 2nd and the next strengthening wave will be strong on the 7th.
The low pressure trough has an axis at about 4-7 degrees north latitude, from December 2 to 7 it will slightly lift its axis to the north with the possibility of connecting with a low pressure area in the southern East Sea. Above, the subtropical high pressure with an axis over the Central region will operate with relatively stable intensity.
Therefore, the weather in the South from December 2 to 7 will be affected by two weather systems: the southern edge of the cold high pressure tongue weakens; moving eastward and the northern low pressure trough with an axis at about 4-7 degrees north latitude tends to slightly lift the axis to the north.
During this period, the area has an unseasonal rain with the possibility of widespread rain with some places having moderate rain, locally heavy rain.
The highest temperature is from 30-33 degrees Celsius; the lowest is from 21-25 degrees Celsius, in the North East from 20-21 degrees Celsius.
From December 8 to 10, the weather in the area will be dry or have only a few places with small, almost insignificant amounts of rain. The lowest temperature will decrease, and it will be chilly at night and early morning.
The highest temperature is from 30-33 degrees Celsius; the lowest is from 20-24 degrees Celsius, in the North East from 19-20 degrees Celsius.
Accordingly, the total rainfall in the first week of December will generally range from 40-80mm. During thunderstorms, it is necessary to be on guard against thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning, and gusts of wind that can cause dangerous weather for people, damage property, and make daily life difficult.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, today (December 2), the Southern region will be cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms; northeast winds will remain at level 2-3.
The general temperature in the area is lowest from 22-25 degrees Celsius; highest from 29-32 degrees Celsius.
In Ho Chi Minh City, the weather during the day is cloudy, with light sunshine and no rain at night; temperatures range from 24 - 32 degrees Celsius and humidity exceeds 70%, causing a stuffy feeling.
In addition, the UV index (ultraviolet rays) in the districts is at high risk of causing harm (level 6). When going outdoors, people should use sunscreen, wear masks, sunglasses and wide-brimmed hats to protect their skin.
