*China calls for stable relations with the US: On November 7, Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message to US President-elect Donald Trump, calling for building "stable, healthy and sustainable" bilateral relations.

China's state broadcaster CCTV quoted Xi Jinping as saying that history has shown that both countries benefit from cooperation and suffer from confrontation. He expressed hope that both sides would strengthen dialogue, manage differences and expand mutually beneficial cooperation.

In his first message since Mr. Trump was re-elected President, the Chinese leader called on the two countries to maintain the principle of mutual respect and peaceful coexistence for the common interests of the two countries and the international community.

*New Indonesian President visits China: Just over 2 weeks after taking office, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto will make his first foreign trip to China from November 8-10, at the invitation of President Xi Jinping.

During his state visit, President Prabowo is expected to meet with President Xi Jinping and other senior Chinese officials, according to an announcement from the Indonesian Foreign Ministry. The Indonesian Foreign Ministry stressed the special importance of the visit in promoting the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries in many fields. (Reuters)

*Cambodian Prime Minister meets Myanmar leader: Cambodia News Agency (AKP) reported that on the sidelines of a series of conferences taking place in Kunming city, Yunnan province, China from November 6-7, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet had a bilateral meeting with Chairman of the State Administrative Council of Myanmar - Senior General Min Aung Hlaing on November 6.
