Today, June 15, at Ecopark urban area (Hung Yen province), British University Vietnam (BUV), a foreign university in Vietnam, held a ceremony to announce the expansion of its learning campus. The event aims to introduce the next phase in the plan to build a world-class learning campus with a total investment of 165 million USD.
BUV has decided to increase the total investment capital for campus construction from 100 million USD to 165 million USD.
At the ceremony, Professor Raymond Gordon, President of BUV, said that as part of the long-term investment strategy for university education in Vietnam, BUV officially increased the total investment capital for the campus (including 3 phases), from 100 million USD to 165 million USD to expand facilities to serve the learning and training needs of students.
BUV campus is located in the middle of Ecopark urban area. Currently, the school has completed the items of phase 1 and the first half of phase 2 including: large hall, modern library with 24/7 classrooms, academic building with administrative rooms, functional classroom system, sports complex, community building for students and food court.
Also at the ceremony, BUV introduced the student community building and food court, part of phase 2A, and announced the start of construction for phase 2B. Accordingly, phase 2 of the project is expected to be completed in early 2025, and the entire campus will be completed in early 2028. Currently, BUV's teaching capacity is 3,000 students. If phase 2 of the project is completed, the school's capacity will increase to 5,000 students.

Professor Raymond said that this event is a meaningful activity in the context of Vietnam and the UK celebrating the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations.
“The expansion of this campus and space is a testament to BUV’s commitment to education in Vietnam and a sign of the successful outcomes that stem from the bilateral relationship between Vietnam and the UK,” said Professor Raymond. “Over the past half century, the two countries have cultivated strong diplomatic ties and embarked on a journey of continued collaboration.”
At the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc said that as the state management agency for education and training, the Ministry of Education and Training is very interested in developing universities in Vietnam with foreign investment capital, with the hope that these schools will bring international training quality to Vietnamese students and learners, contributing to improving the training quality of Vietnamese university education.
