Reopening 11 flight routes bringing Russian tourists directly to Khanh Hoa

NDO - From March 16, charter flights connecting 11 Russian cities with Khanh Hoa will officially resume after nearly 3 years of suspension. This important milestone will contribute to boosting the number of Russian tourists to Vietnam in the coming time.

Accordingly, 11 cities in Russia have direct flights connecting to Khanh Hoa, including: Moscow, Barnaul, Tomsk, Ekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Novokuznetsk, Khabarovsk, Novosibirsk, Blagoveshchensk, Vladivostok and Irkutsk.

Representative of the operating unit, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tan, General Director of Anex Vietnam Trade and Tourism Company Limited, informed that the reopening of flights aims to restore and expand the international tourism market. The charter flights will connect 11 Russian cities with Khanh Hoa province from March 16.

According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Tan, in addition to Nha Trang, flights to Phu Quoc will also be reopened, providing more options for Russian tourists when coming to Vietnam.

The first flight, flight number ZF2577, will depart from Irkutsk, a city in southeastern Russia. The flight will carry about 238 international passengers to Vietnam and is expected to land at Cam Ranh International Airport on March 17.

It is known that ANEX Vietnam cooperates with Azur Air to continue operating charter flights bringing Russian tourists to Nha Trang using Boeing 757, Boeing 767 and Boeing 777 aircraft with a capacity of 238-531 passengers per flight.

In March, there will be up to 12 charter flights. It is expected that from April to June, there will be about 50-55 flights per month. From July onwards, the frequency of charter flights can be up to 90-100 flights per month.

Russia is a major tourist market of Khanh Hoa. However, due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine conflict, direct flights from this country to Khanh Hoa have been suspended since 2022. In the past, Russian tourists wanting to go to Khanh Hoa had to transit through a number of countries such as China, Kazakhstan...

The reopening of 11 direct flights to Khanh Hoa for Russian tourists opens up opportunities for the locality to restore and promote cooperation with key tourist markets after a period of interruption. In addition, it will strengthen promotional activities and introduce tourism products and services to attract a large number of international visitors to Vietnam.
