After nearly a week of being crowned Miss International 2024, Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy returned to Vietnam, attracting the attention of the beauty-loving community on the morning of November 18. In addition to a large number of fans, a group of famous Misses and Runners-up including: 2nd Runner-up Miss Vietnam 2020 Ngoc Thao; 2nd Runner-up Miss Intercontinental 2023 Le Nguyen Ngoc Hang... happily welcomed Miss Thanh Thuy at Tan Son Nhat Airport (HCMC).

"I am happy and touched because everyone has been waiting and welcoming me warmly. I would like to thank the audience for their love. Today, I have truly returned to the loving arms of the Vietnamese audience. I am truly happy and proud!", Miss International 2024 Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy expressed.

At the press conference welcoming Miss Thanh Thuy held in Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon of the same day, the beauty from Da Nang openly interacted with the media and fans. "After being crowned, I had 5 days in Japan to complete the mission of the new Miss International 2024 in the first days of my term with activities such as: Press interviews, meeting sponsors, participating in some exhibitions, traveling to some locations in Japan...

Before returning to Vietnam, I visited the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) headquarters in Tokyo, Japan and the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan. I also hope to contribute to the Vietnamese Embassy in promoting our country's culture in the future.

Currently, I also have some ideas about cultural exchange and connection between Vietnamese and Japanese cultures. I think I should have trips to connect students, meet Vietnamese people studying and working in Japan...", Miss Thanh Thuy expressed.

Referring to the activities after returning to Vietnam after being crowned Miss International 2024, Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy said: "I want to do more when my term at Miss International is only 1 year. Regarding community projects, I want to continue implementing the project of bringing clean water to people in saline areas in Vietnam. Previously, I supported the installation of a free clean water filtration system for people in Ben Tre. This is also one of the criteria towards sustainable development (SDGs) that the Miss International contest always aims for," said Miss Thanh Thuy.

Previously, the final round of Miss International 2024 ended with the highest title belonging to Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy - representative of Vietnam. The titles of 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up, 3rd Runner-up and 4th Runner-up were respectively awarded to the representatives of Bolivia (Camila Roca), Spain (Charlotte Harrison), Venezuela (Sakra Guerrero) and Indonesia (Sophie Kirana). This is also the first time a Vietnamese representative has won the highest title at the 62-year-old pageant, marking a proud historical milestone for Vietnamese beauty on the international beauty map.

Sharing on the final stage of Miss International 2024 after the moment of coronation, Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy emotionally expressed: "I am the first Miss Vietnam to come to Miss International and now, I am the first Miss International from Vietnam. Finally, I have been able to prove that I deserve all the love and support of the audience, fans in Vietnam and around the world. Thank you very much!".

Before becoming the first Vietnamese representative to win Miss International 2024, Thanh Thuy had already achieved impressive results in domestic beauty contests. The beauty born in 2002 was crowned Miss Vietnam 2022.

In addition to the prestigious crown at this beauty contest, the beauty from Da Nang also won the Sports Beauty sub-award. She entered the Top 7 Media Beauty and Top 5 Charity Beauty in the framework of the Miss Vietnam 2022 contest.

The new Miss International 2024 is 1.76m tall with sexy measurements of 80-63-94cm. She won the Miss Student Award at the University of Foreign Languages ​​(University of Danang in 2021), and 1st Runner-up at the Elegant Student Contest in Danang City in 2021. Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy is one of 36 students who had the opportunity to exchange students at Ubon Ratchathani University, Thailand.

Sharing with PV Dan Viet before starting the journey to conquer the Miss International 2024 crown, Thanh Thuy said: "My goal is to perform my best in the competitions, prepare thoroughly in all aspects to score points with the Miss International 2024 Jury, aiming for the best results to not disappoint everyone's expectations."
