On the evening of October 8, Miss Vietnam 2022 Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy officially received the sash (sash - PV) of Miss International Vietnam 2024 to begin her journey in this beauty arena. At the press conference to announce the representative of Vietnam to attend Miss International 2024, the beauty born in 2002 attracted the attention of the beauty-loving community when appearing in a costume called "Lua Nang Sen". This is also the National Costume that accompanies Miss Thanh Thuy at the Miss International 2024 contest. Previously, the "Lua Nang Sen" costume won second prize at the National Cultural Costume competition night within the framework of the Miss Grand Vietnam 2024 contest.
Sharing about the costume that Miss Thanh Thuy will perform at Miss International 2024, designer Bui Cong Thien Bao said: "Lua Nang Sen" with each strand of raw material woven into the silk is a silk thread drawn from the lotus stem brought up from the pond. "Weaving into fabric, the silk threads are as thin as dew, with the softness and smoothness of natural silk and the noble scent of lotus flowers."

Taking on the role of Miss International Vietnam 2024, Miss Thanh Thuy emotionally expressed: “I remember a few months ago when the Vietnamese representative was announced on the Miss International homepage, I was lucky to be one of the earliest contestants to be announced. From that time until now, I have received many congratulations, expectations, and love from the beauty-loving community at home and abroad as well as beauty voting sites around the world. This is both a motivation and a pressure for me in my journey to participate in the Miss International 2024 contest.
I am always excited, ready and proud that after a long time of waiting, I finally have the honor to fulfill my role and mission before the end of my term as Miss Vietnam, which is to bring the two words Vietnam to the international beauty arena.
When I proudly wear this Miss International Vietnam 2024 sash, I am once again reminded of my role and mission. As the first Miss Vietnam to compete in Miss International, I will do my best to bring to the international organization a Vietnamese representative with full courage, qualities and patriotism, with a desire to promote the image of Vietnam and Vietnamese people in the international arena."
Before that, Miss Vietnam 2022 had a period of training and improving her skills with a panel of experts including famous Misses: Miss Le Hoang Phuong - Catwalk skills coach, Miss Luong Thuy Linh and MC Tan Tai - Communication and behavioral skills coach...
At the introduction of Miss Vietnam 2022 Thanh Thuy to participate in the Miss International 2024 contest, Ms. Pham Kim Dung - National Director of the Miss International Vietnam contest shared: “We have high expectations for Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy but do not put pressure on her. I hope Thanh Thuy enjoys her time in Japan, showing the beauty of Vietnamese women in the contest that respects friendship between countries. This year, the Miss International organization is delighted that the reigning Miss Vietnam officially competes in this beauty contest. Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy (born in 2002) was crowned Miss Vietnam 2022. In addition to the prestigious crown at this beauty contest, the beauty from Da Nang also won the Sports Beauty sub-award. She entered the Top 7 Media Beauty and Top 5 Charity Beauty in the Miss Vietnam 2022 contest.
The reigning Miss Vietnam 2022 is 1.75m tall with sexy measurements of 80-63-94cm. Before being crowned Miss Vietnam 2022, Thanh Thuy won the Miss Student Award at the University of Foreign Languages (Da Nang University in 2021), 1st Runner-up of the Elegant Student Contest of Da Nang City in 2021. She is one of 36 students who had the opportunity to exchange students at Ubon Ratchathani University, Thailand.

Sharing with PV Dan Viet about the things she is most confident about when competing at Miss International 2024, Miss Vietnam 2022 Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy said: “I already have some basic skills in catwalk, performance and in the future I will continue to practice and improve. Besides, I have researched and learned from my seniors about the criteria and things to note to prepare myself well when coming to Miss International 2024.
The title of Miss Vietnam has created a platform for me to continue to develop and show my colors. Certainly, I will have to learn, make more efforts, and be more confident to be able to conquer this year's contest."
