Cold air is likely to rush into our country from the night of January 8 to mid-January 2025. It is forecasted that the North will have many cloudy days with cold weather, with some places dropping below 10 degrees.
On the afternoon of January 6, in the 10-day weather forecast for the Ho Chi Minh City area from January 6-16, 2025, the Southern Hydrometeorological Station gave an assessment of the general weather pattern, including a warning about the cold air waves that are about to strengthen in our country.
Specifically, according to the Meteorological Station, the cold air continues to weaken in the north, and on January 8 it will weaken again and diffuse to the South.
From the next 3-10 days, cold air will continue to strengthen in our country's regions, from around January 9-11, and will strengthen further on January 16.

The night and morning will be cold.

According to the weather and temperature update for the next 10 days from the meteorological agency, Lai Chau is one of the localities that is often strongly affected by cold air waves. During the 3 days of January 9-11, the temperature fluctuates between 10-15 degrees, with rain, then no rain but cloudy and cold.
In the following days, the lowest temperature in the area continued to drop to 8 degrees, but the day began to clear and the temperature gradually increased.
Similarly, from January 8 to 11, Hanoi's weather was also cloudy and gloomy, with light rain and gradually decreasing temperatures; from January 12, the night temperature dropped to 11 degrees, but then the day was sunny and the temperature increased, changing to a dry sunny day and cold night pattern.
According to meteorological experts, in January, cold air tends to be more active than in December 2024; there is a high possibility of causing many days of severe cold in the northern provinces, possibly concentrated in mid-January; there is a risk of frost and ice.
In addition, according to the meteorological agency, the South Central, Central Highlands and Southern regions will maintain the pattern of no rain at night and sunny days. Cold air diffuses to the South, potentially causing humidity to decrease, air quality to decrease, and the weather to be chilly at night and early morning.

The North is about to welcome 2 cold air waves, cold weather with rain
