Vague information about pregnant woman nearing birth being burned by her husband

On the afternoon of November 26, a leader of the People's Committee of Ea Tan commune (Krong Nang district, Dak Lak province) confirmed that an incident occurred in the area where a husband poured gasoline and set his pregnant wife on fire, and the police are investigating.

According to this leader, the unit has just received the information because this family completely kept it a secret, did not report it, and is also at the hospital taking care of the pregnant woman.

" According to initial information, there was a conflict between the couple, the wife, who was 33 weeks pregnant, was doused with gasoline and burned by her husband and had to go to the emergency room. The incident was determined to have occurred in Thanh Cao village (Ea Tan commune) " - this person informed.

According to information from the Central Highlands General Hospital, on the afternoon of November 23, the hospital received patient D.TPO (21 years old) with first, second, and third degree gasoline burns on many parts of his body.

At the time of admission, patient O.'s mother said that her husband poured gasoline on her and set her on fire on the afternoon of November 22. The pregnant woman was transferred to Thien Hanh General Hospital and then to the Central Highlands General Hospital.

Upon examination, pregnant woman O. suffered burns to her head, face, neck, arms, back and thighs. After receiving emergency treatment at the Central Highlands General Hospital, the pregnant woman was transferred to Ho Chi Minh City for further treatment of her injuries.

Meanwhile, on the morning of November 26, a reporter from Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper contacted Lieutenant Colonel Tran Quang Vinh, Chief of Police of Krong Nang District, by phone. He said he did not have the information and would verify it.

After a few minutes, Mr. Vinh called the reporter back and informed the Chief of Ea Tan Commune Police, but up to now, he has not received any information. " The most important thing is where it happened, because if it happened like that, we have checked in the area and this person and that person know " - this person said and said that they will continue to verify.

In addition, the same morning, a reporter from Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper contacted by phone a person who claimed to be Ms. O's husband. When the reporter asked if there was any information that he poured gasoline on his wife and set her on fire, this person said "nothing, it was an accident".
